Hi guys, I recently submitted my first token set to the Roll20 marketplace. I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions for the set itself or if there's something else you'd like to see me create. You can view the set here - https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/1202/gol... Thanks guys and enjoy!

These are fantastic. Love the set, Jeffrey. These would go well in a game that also uses the art by Richard Leon (like the Gods And Champions pack) from Marketplace, both because of the forward-facing standing upright token pose, and the mythical elemental vibe. I noticed and really liked how you included the major elemental elements, and also some (all?) of the quasi-elemental types like dust, lava ("molten"), and mineral ("amethyst"). These would be good for any fantasy game with a lot of golems, elementals, or traveling to the elemental planes, or any kind of Buildings / Temple / Library of Elemental Evil. Planning to incorporate these tokens into my game soon. We already have 1 stone golem henchman named BillJim in the party and I will replace his top-down token with one from this pack --- mossy one --- when we go into forward-facing perspective maps like isometric.

Thanks so much! I tried my best with creating meaning for color variations instead of just doing it for the sake of quantity. Just wondering, do players normally prefer forward facing or top down tokens?

Both, it varies. If it's a game that is using a top-down overhead map then top-down tokens are the best match for that -- so yes, a lot of people play in top-down format often. For other set-ups, such as perspective maps, pop-up pictures, handouts, and chat-displaying pics, forward facing is great! Many gamers make use of both, depending on the scenario that's being played-presented-illustrated. Yet another approach is the 'pog' like a circle-cropped bust shot, as seen in Storm King's Thunder module. Some Marketplace artists repurpose and offer each figure in multiple configurations. Send me a PM if you would have time to join into one of my game sessions on Roll20 to see some tokens in action in D&D; showing various art-styles and perspectives matched with different types of maps, pages, and places in Roll20 interface. I recommend getting in contact with some of the fellow Marketplace artists, who can share from their experience.
