Damn. Sorry to hear about your father, Paul S . :( Paul W : I'm working on a homebrew 2E campaign based on the results of a survey that was posted in Gold's forum. (Results of survey here : http://data.surveygizmo.com/r/490496_57dd6049867a26.61563876 ) I'm specifically leaning towards using the Unearthed Arcana "Method V" for ability scores, where you pick your race and class first, and THEN roll ability
scores. (Generates exceptional characters, and the campaign will be geared towards the group's characters being a cut above.) I'm anticipating having a one-on-one session with each player to create characters & flesh everything out - one that is done we'll settle on a regular weekly session and begin the campaign. Not sure what you mean about "...and grids mainly or combat" - but... yeah there will be grids and turn-based combat. I'm big on creating a well-defined graphical environment to interact with, been working for weeks on generating maps, creating NPC and monster tokens, dynamic lighting, etc. Pushing out a full campaign on Roll20 is a lot more work than most folks realize. I'm sure I won't be able to open it up for invites until next month, there's just so much content to prepare. I figure if I'm going to run a campaign, I'm going to pour my best effort into making it as enjoyable as I can for the players.
