Some Backstory This is the World of Sanctum, it has seen peace for almost 300 years, the wars of the past ages of ceased, and seemingly no major conflict has arose since the guilds of the world have come into power, with legendary heroes at heir helm, evil has seemingly receded back into its shell. The world is thriving, the nations have ceased their squabbles with each other, the corporations are advancing land-ships and mechs to the point of amazement, the church has ended its nearly disastrous crusade, after its revelation of the last age. Everything was in a satisfying lull. Until one day, the realm itself began to shake, not just the earth, nor the seas, but the sky itself, and everything in between, this shaking was seemingly going to rip the world apart, until after only a few moments, everything lay still, more still then before it started. Everything was quite, until, everyone, at once, heard a voice, a voice that called itself, Alga'Thuun. No-one knew where it came from, or where it could be, but we could all hear its voice, and this is what it said. https://soundcloud.com/alex-gonzalez-745/algathuun... http://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/BybGT3VBe... Then, again, silence, nothing was said, and no-one knew what to do, the world was apparently going to end in 10,000 days, unless we found some shards. Of course no-one believed it, well some people did of course, and some knew, but the majority did not. Of course there where the doomsayers, and sadly some people took their lives, but only after a week, everyone got the news, the legendary heroes, that everyone looked up to, in the guilds....slaughtered, the Twin kings of the Great Nation of Faldag, slain....The Warlords of the might Dragon Isles....killed. This was not a joke, this was real, and the world new it, it only had 10,000 days to stop itself from ending, 10,000 days to collect shards. Simple, or so the world thought. After 1,000 days 2 shards had been found....and it was chaos, the shards were found by 2 separate nations, and a argument had erupted of who should keep them, this argument lasted for weeks, then turned into all out war, with the power of the shards warping war as we knew it, this items held immeasurable power, and changed the face of war, after another 1,000 days....the war is still going on. A not another shard is known to be found. To make it worse, neither nation explained how they found their shards, and after another 1,000 days, only 1 other shard had been found. 3 found, 10 to go. Introduction to the game Hello, my name is Alex, and I am looking for some fairly experienced players to take on the task of find the shards of Alga'Thuun, you can make your party however you see fit, the basic character design and a little backstory is all that is needed when it comes to a character, as long as you follow the creation rules that I set. Your party is expected to work together without to much of a squabble, so be warned I will most likely not put a Paladin with a Necromancer, I will make sure to pick the players I think will make the most interesting party dynamic without killing each other. Game Rules/Notes. #1. This will be a short-ish campaign, only lasting 6-10 sessions, or until the main plot line is finished. (The players can do what they would like in the game for the most part, and it may run longer then 6-10 Sessions, but 6-10 Sessions is currently the planed stopping point) #2. There will be more story going into the game, but that is after the players have been decided, and the party chosen and introduced to one another. #3. The current play time is not set, the date for the game is not set, and the time played is not set. All is subject to change, after the party is chosen. #4. I will be interviewing each potential member after I have approved your character(more on this below) #5. DM is always right, I have an understanding of the rules, though I do not agree with all of them, though this being said, even if I am going against the rules, do not rules lawyer me or the other players during the game, keep the narrative moving along, do not bring in unnecessary rules talk. You can talk to me after the session, for any issues you may have had #6. Play nice, so not insult players outside of the game. As in dont do it out of character, I am fine with some in game character insults, as long as both players understand that neither is aimed toward the other players. #7. The world is an amalgamation of my own imagination, alot of 3.5 material, other fantasy genera, and more. If you do not like a high fantasy game, with some steam-punk elements then this is not for you. #8. Have fun #9. For Character creation see in forums. #10. For homebrew, see in forums. Link to Listing
