Just wondering if anyone is interested in a game using a hacked Dungeon World, for a 4-5 hour span on Thursdays sometime between 4:15 - 11 pm CST. It would be a weekly ongoing campaign. As for the setting I'm thinking something kind of like the dark tower series in that it's far in the future after several apocalypses with fantasy and sci-fi elements. So if you're not familiar with Steven King's Dark Tower series its basically a wonderful mishmash of genres. Its post apocalyptic, fantasy, sci-fi, western and horror - partially as a result of the interwoveness of several dimensions as reality decays. As for our game I don't intend to copy but I definitely intend a post-post apocalypse with magical elements woven in the world. So everythnig from swords and magic to ancient factories and mechs. Like a spellcaster would be a possible playbook. You could take a standard playbook if you wanted (with some tweaking) or I could homebrew a playbook to fit a concept that you want. But I'm also pondering cutting out the scifi elements, and just making more of just a Post-Apocalyptic Fantasy setting. The main idea of the campaign would be that you start in a post-apocalyptic city and from there you are convinced to search for the Nexus, the city of cities at the center of the great all of existence. The world is ruled by nightmare, something is wrong with the world at its very core. Not only that but at the Nexus it is said that one can find what one truly desires.  -  So it'll be a long trek across this world in search of the Nexus. Also the campaign will be more dramatic/serious punctuated with moments of levity. But it will be sandbox - so if the players want to stop at a city and just do stuff there, they can. They will be destined to search for the Nexus but they are free to reject their destiny (with consequences for all who are tied to their destiny).   The campaign would be gritty but still have a heroic feel to it. Parts would be Dark but not grim dark. The characters wouldn't be the villains. Ideally they would be beacons of hope amidst the darkness of this world but not necessarily.  Also I'd be looking for players who aren't purely combat oriented and are interested in the roleplay/character development aspect of the game. Players who like spending most of the session in character. The system will basically homebrew of Dungeon World. Experience criteria would be tweaked and some moves would be altered to fit the setting. But in essence it will have the feel of dungeon world. I might take some moves from apocalypse world if needed. Let me know if you're interested
