Good day, I've run into a rather troublesome bug the last couple of sessions. Occasionally, my campaign starts having a problem where abilities that previously had been working just fine simply stop working. This problem has thus far only appeared after several hours (usually four to five at least) of continuous play, and so may have something to do with that. Once it starts, I have not been able to find any solution other than to deal with it and let it go away on its own, usually when we all leave for the day. In case it helps, here is a little bit of info on said abilities. I run a homebrew system that relies on a criss-crossing network of character sheets to hold stats, formulas, and various different types of rolls. Whenever anyone rolls an ability, they are actually referencing an ability on a different character sheet. That ability will typically call several formulas from several other sheets, many of which will call back to the original player using the ability to grab various stats and will also reference one or more targets to grab other stats. All of that is then wrapped up nicely in a roll template that I copied and pasted out of the pathfinder character sheets. I did not want the entire sheet, so I found the section that set up its roll template and simply took that. Unfortunately, I cannot recreate this bug at will, due to the fact that it has thus far only appeared after several continuous hours of use. I have tried clearing the chat log (which I also clear before each session, just to keep it from building up), and that did not work. I have had everyone leave and come back in, but that didn't fix it either. I've tried checking various stats, but nothing was out of order or changed as far as I could tell. In fact, when I would come back the next day and try to determine the cause of the problem, it was always gone, despite having not altered anything on the afflicted characters and abilities. As best I can figure out, perhaps there is some issue with the actual server for the game that causes it to have difficulty with such heavy macro usage over such a long period of time, and once we leave for a certain period of time it shuts down and has a chance to reset. That is pure conjecture on my part, but I am not sure at this point what else it could be. Anyways, I am posting this more for the devs awareness than for any sort of fix for my campaign. If you have any suggestions, I would certainly like to hear them. However, it only affects us towards the end of any given night anyways, so it is not game-breaking. Thank you very much.
