Video and Voice Chat Issues (Beta Only)

Absolutely the same. For a couple of weeks now.
Totally unplayable in all my games. My player and I are from Italy...don't know if this can be of some help. There is some sort of ETA for the fix? Or a way for help you in finding the problem?
Marco M. said: There is some sort of ETA for the fix? Or a way for help you in finding the problem? They have asked for people to submit console logs, the way to do that is listed in the quote below (taken from the first post): "If you're planning on reporting a Beta issues, please review the information we'll need from you and please confirm you are using the Roll20 WebRTC Beta with all questions and bug reports."

Roll20 Team
We're working hard to improve Roll20's WebRTC system and we expect a new update sometime tomorrow. In the meantime, it would help us diagnose the issue you or your players are having if you could run through this diagnostic tool. Once there: Click on the Start button. Allow the test to run itself through the various subtasks (Microphone, Camera, Network, Connectivity, and lastly Throughput). If the test runs into any issues, click on the bug icon at the top, this brings up a new window to create a bug report. Describe what issues you had with the diagnostic test and then click on “Upload Report”. This will pull up a new window that provides a link to the report (“The link to the report is now available”). This link will be available for the next 90 days. Copy the link and paste it here in this thread.
Have not tested the Beta WebRTC yet, but running the diagnostic above I got a "Reflexive connectivity" issue. Log is at https://test.webrtc.org/report/AMIfv97UdXkLKV7IqxnqHEZedgmT2f7dACIJhhnKEDUi4_JgkqCbPXbtsT8CxcbKW68SrFVpAlK-FhHQmDgDEUyK52BJWaXWVD_ccJYfqq3qzAr_U8yQGX_D1O9vb0AdnTMIgZun8I3xAW9Yd0b3X9dG3DQM8cDaIA
My subscription renewal charges just hit. If voice and video are not going to work and the suggestion is to farm out to a 3rd party for those utilities, you need to cut your monthly fee in half. I will be watching for that. Really disappointed DM / Customer here that is losing patience with this site.

Really disappointed DM / Customer here that is losing patience with this site. The suggestion is to submit console logs or use the diagnostic tool so they can get detailed information on what the bugs are so they can fix them. At the end of the day, the devs can only fix things when they have the information of what exactly is going wrong, because it's not going to be the same for everyone. Maybe actually try giving them the information they need to fix the problem rather than just complain about it.
John C. said: My group is also going though this exact problem right now!! This is not a bug it is a non working system. Yup same problem here and has been since Friday night.

heres my WebRTC test i ran! help me understand this? so i can fix this for you guys! https://test.webrtc.org/report/AMIfv94RKrJEjk0-kf-BQejGBA1m02-z7uxatVs3GO0dMOUWCceQlcisfSo6jQvqmRr3vmMseUoLWDRd5JFdm8olPQtax2MQ1vJJkGfqjYGkI4TZgcZIoaKIP6EjB1rdrJTE-IRqQ8m0U3Bn6VkLb4xb3zG-LJROeQ EDIT: I fixed the IPv6 thing, but i have a new error: https://test.webrtc.org/report/AMIfv95HZehGB4z6I0Zl5NTmptLlBr6G2TKvPL9qNMIKokq9CdtlrfJH2edtk0IEwanQ2geVIDP75pfPWC5_wSq58gi5u2IStsFyLEXlwRi0Rt4MFKalItQDDSpAdlU32xs_c4Pl81lUL-6zCDOpuFD9zA9i2nqdcA
Thanks Liam and Timmy!
Below is my test, notable events include that it gave a Reflexive connectivity warning: [ WARN ]Could not connect using reflexive candidates, likely due to the network environment/configuration. And that it didn't run the throughput tests for some reason https://test.webrtc.org/report/AMIfv96mHb60WxNRnrLxjTssQs_qDaKbBpVHhfSAyfkW4D7qWIq2VoNTLBznXr7XvHvug9SgwHPyHNA4GjC0Hlyj2APK6ZiyfjUAra8FrXm3Iq4XBrzs5wBLmXaeaw_ZE3HSFBZrVJ3ggMNKH-8OSq2tSHqwvr93qg
Also, to add to Liam's post above, I agree that just complaining about the system probably won't solve anything, but I think the main frustration (at least for me) is that it seemed to come without warning. My recollection (and maybe I'm wrong) is that one day the devs said "hey, here is a beta of a new vid system we are trying out, give it a go and give us feedback", but then they didn't also say : "oh, btw, in 2 months we are DISABLING the old system and you will HAVE to use this new system so be sure to really check it out". In other words, there was no sense of urgency. When the beta was released, I tried it and it didn't work. At that point, I sorta just shrugged my shoulders and said "oh well, I'll just go back to the one that works, no biggie". I also didn't submit any feedback (admittedly, my fault) for the same reason, I didn't realize that the old system would be shelved. Again, this was just my personal experience so take it for what it's worth. Lastly, if the the reason for not using OpenTok anymore was due to the rising popularity of roll20 and consequently, increased OpenTok costs, then this something that could have easily been predicted and planned for well in advance. That's just my 2 coppers.....
We are trying to run a 3 person game. None of us can receive video from the others. The browser repeatedly asks for permission to use the camera/mic. When we switched to voice only, 2 of us could hear each other, but our GM could not hear us. We could not hear him. We are on firefox and GM is on chrome so it is not browser specific. I just ran the WebRTC troubleshooter and can't get it to upload or download the report. At this point I don't know what else to do. We had to cancel our game.

Yeah, had serious issues with voice this session today. Couldn't get appear.in to work either; it started having severe delays and dropping people. Lots of time only 1-2 people could hear each other and no one else. We were using video only in our game this evening as Discord was more reliable for voice. We experienced the "whack a mole" problem where some of us could connect to one another but we could not all see each other at once. The console log for my game is here. I'm using Chrome, all extensions turned off and I cleared my cache. I disabled my avast antivirus, which didn't help either. Discord is working fine for us, but I thought the console log would be of help. We'd like to see each other, but it didn't impede us from playing the game. I appreciate all of the work the devs are doing on this! EDIT: Here is my WebRTC bug report Link
Had the whack-a-mole problem with our group tonight. Link to WebRTC bug report

Here are two more reports from my players: https://test.webrtc.org/report/AMIfv94aTGRW-a-SSrSyk_qqeYCKSN6Nq_VgalD31s2GLREj7zOJduOHa7tj0WlZabJbg52IRKF5IRlahinp3txCY0A7owIEJxyr3X5_t-77Jmxm3NKk3qVDRZEkDpHQvXV96W2Iy8aPA_0qLEDz3asDXsVFY9AvBQ This one also had the Reflexive connectivity issue https://test.webrtc.org/report/AMIfv97pNLHpcqXgVzXfLW6ndULDQ412SZbH97MrovKP9QiLzvSpo4kOFbCBucsAJYNbbBs-BxuOYiW5bYMCjxqSlsn3ubBqZBTTyDyHTUlH2e7OSvMuwnbOb7Rb7SMHx8lPdMyQn-MqpokNwluIR6gRmdwLO9hkKw
At this point, it would seem to make more sense if Roll20 simply made Google Hangouts the default option when joining/starting a game given both options (v1 and v2) are completely unreliable at this point and this problem (for at least my group) has persisted since late October and has started to make me and my group question moving from our former open source VTT solution. What is the plan at Roll20 if these issues persist? My original bug report here Secondary bug report on Default Roll20 WebRTC here WebRTC Diagnostic here
So where are we at with this whack-a-mole situation? I was thinking of hosting a game tommorrow evenig, but i doubt it'd be enjoyable if only two people can hear each otehr at a time.

CHRISTOFF V. said: So where are we at with this whack-a-mole situation? I was thinking of hosting a game tommorrow evenig, but i doubt it'd be enjoyable if only two people can hear each otehr at a time. The below message was posted yesterday (emphasis is my own). Kristin C. said: We're working hard to improve Roll20's WebRTC system and we expect a new update sometime tomorrow.
My other group tonight will be using appear.in website and we'really going to see how good it is with 6 players plus myself as DM. will let you know if there's any troubles on there.
