Interest Check: GURPS X-Files: Cold War Blues (GURPS 3E, Sundays, 7PM CST)

I used to run this several years ago. Actually the version I ran was set in the 40s. This one will be from the 50s through the 60s. Should prove interesting. The game will be roleplaying/investigative heavy and very little combat. At least this is how I envision it. It is GURPS after all and people die when bullets fly, quickly! I am looking to gauge if there is interest for this game and system. Characters would be built on 115 points, 45 disads, no more than 65 points in attributes.
Hmmm ... bump ... bump .., bump ...
Hmmm, X-Files, aliens, government conspiracy, mystery, cold war experiments, government control ... what is not to like here?
Never played a GURPS game before...in fact last non-fantasy game I played was Battlelords of the 23rd Century! I like the concept though!
Yeah, I thought the game idea had "legs" was not sure about the system. Would be easier to use a universal system of some type I think, so I decided on GURPS. Apparently if its not f*cking D20 people have no interest.

Hey rpgman, The concept sounds interesting. Like you say whats not to like about government conspiracies ^_^ I live in Europe though, so the proposed time is kind of awkward for me. I would consider joining if game start was either a couple hours later or before. Also do you see this becoming a long ongoing campaign or more of a shortish campaign? Edit: BTW, GURPS as a universal system would be ideal for this. I don't have much experience with it (since no-one I game with use it), but I have read the rulebooks, so...
If I were to run it I would like to see it longer term. I like to plan 3-5+ interlocked adventures. That is sorta my thing. I can of course do one-shots. I just do not do them often. If it were to run longer, more than a few sessions, that would be up to the players. If they stick with it, I will make it more intricate. If they want to play Pathfinder and whatnot, I don't see the point putting a lot of effort into making a campaign. That is my hope though. Would be nice to plan out something more long term. In fact this evening I wrote out my Star Wars D6 adventure for this evening. Without even doing it on purpose, I have enough additional stuff in the game (which more of a one-shot serial adventure) to connect the previous adventure and set the stage for 2-5 more. Should be fun.
