Hello. I am looking for 1-2 player to join an ongoing campaign inspired by the Planescape setting, using the modified World of Dungeons system. World of Dungeons is a system by the fantastic John Harper (itself a modified version of Dungeon World) that is very easy to learn, with no rules bloat to get in the way of player creativity and fun.
I like the principle of "belief = power" from Planescape and its creativity and sense of wonder, but dislike
D&D cosmology and alignment, so this setting is different apart from those fundamental principles. This world is one of islands known as Shards floating through an expanse of blackness known as the Void, each home to their own life and each bound by their own unique rules. In the center of it all is the City, a civilized place that is home to a diverse bunch of races and factions, each with their own (often conflicting) philosophy, goals, and vision for the city. The players are mercenaries, hired by private individuals, factions, or the City authorities to do their dirty work as deniable assets. Their work not only fattens their pocket but influences the physical reality of the City itself, as it changes to represent the prevalent beliefs of its citizenry. In the six or so session that we have had, the party has participated in a gang war, hijacked a government airship, investigated bizarre murders, almost died trying to explore a strange new Shard, and upset the balance of power countless times. One of our players has left due to time issues, giving you an opportunity to brave the Void yourself. Will you make it big and change the City, or perish like a two-bit freebooter? Players are able to create their own city districts, races, and Shards, as long as they fit with the tone, so creativity is encouraged! If you are interested, or have any questions,
please send a private message or a forum post my way. Thanks!
