A Rebel cell has its eyes set on a new symbol of hope for the galaxy. Gathering all the resources at his disposal, calling in all the favors he's owed, cell leader Gon Thanword is counting down the final few days before Operation Longshot commences. The objective: commandeer a ship from the Imperial boneyards in the cell's backyard. Take the ship for repairs and refitting at a rogue station used mostly by pirates. Lead the Rebellion to victory under the banner that this ship represents. It will be a Pyrrhic victory at best. The odds are stacked against the cell. The ship itself, a nameless Venator-class Star Destroyer is likely more scrap than whole. But it was once part of Kenobi's Fifth Fleet. It once carried thousands of men, hundreds of ships, dozens of transports, and a Jedi General into battle. Its condition now is unknown, Thanword's spies could not access much more information on it. Even the name has been lost to time and the Imperial classification system. The party is fresh, but not wholly incompetent. Give yourself 40 xp after character creation to show what you've been up to before this mission. Session 1 will be the final run of a mockup Venator. Session 2 will start the campaign in full as the Rebels begin the assault. This is a companion campaign. I am running a group of Empire agents, currently doing unrelated activities in a different part of the galaxy. Their actions will change your world, and yours theirs. I do not plan for direct player-v-player combat, either between the two groups or within yours. While they may try to hinder you, should they choose to or be ordered to, you will not come into direct combat. As the Empire group has been active for a short while now, the first several sessions of this campaign will give drastically increased amounts of XP, until you are on par. This will be played out ingame as you all going through this baptism of fire. Go ahead and post an application below ; please include a little bit about yourself and a couple lines for each of the following: 1) What kind of character do you wish to play? All books are open. You don't need to have anything concrete, but I'd like to know what you're interested in at the very least. 2) What is your history with roleplaying games? What games, how long? I'd prefer players that are experienced with TTRPGs. I can teach you this system - I just want you to know how to player a character. 3) Do you enjoy the "role play" aspect of TTRPGs? There will be sessions where you simply don't fight anyone; is that alright with you? 4) What time works best? I have it listed as starting at Thursday, 6PM EST (UTC-5). The day will not change, but the time could be pushed back an hour or so. Our sessions will last, on average, 4-5 hours. Usually closer to 4. If there's anything else you'd like to bring up, just plop it down anywhere, or send me a PM. Note that this is using FFG's Star Wars system. I'm looking forward to meeting you all and getting started.
