Hey
there, my group could use one more player for Call of Cthulhu sixth
edition. The rules we use are simplified and streamlined so they
don't get in the way of the story. Our group is very story focused,
placing emphasis on character development and interaction. While we
do have sections dedicated to puzzles and violence, they are not our
primary focus. We don't mind if you have no experience with the game,
or any game, in fact we prefer that. As long as you come willing to
learn, we will teach you. Combat
can be very fast paced. Turn orders are handled differently here and
are almost always situational. Any fight could be your last. Most
times you won't be given time to wait and think about your turn.
You'll simply need to act. Hesitate and people die. It can be a bit
confusing at first, but soon enough it becomes second nature. The
game is set around modern times and takes places primarily in
America. You have a great deal of freedom when creating a character,
anything within the bounds of realism. Understand the game is meant
to be about ordinary people experiencing extraordinary things. Please
be realistic. Not very many people spend their lives training with
guns and weapons. One thing I always tell people. To us, this is just
a game. To the people we are portraying, this is everything. This
battle is their life, their struggle. Just keep that in mind when
creating a character. The
last thing I have to say is that the game is challenging. The scales
will hardly ever be in your favor. Stupid choices will get you killed
and you are NOT the center of the universe. No other character in the
games cares about how awesome you might be. They won't give you
things because you demand them. If they dislike you, they might just
shoot you in the leg so they could escape whatever horror is chasing
you. However, earn their trust or respect and they'll fight or die
for you. We
play every Thursday and Friday at 6:30 PM - 10 PM PST. We also
sometimes play at other times, just to sneak in an extra game for the
