[LFP] [18+] [D&D 5E] Looking for players to traipse dungeons and mountain peaks

Edited 1487839871
Thi s game is full. PLAYERS WANTED What's the worst that could happen? I have 2.5 new or slightly used players, but they're not for sale. I am looking for another 2-3 players, ranging from veteran players (that's you) to the completely new (that's also you). I will be your dungeon master. I am 25, and the youngest person we have lined up is 23. I definitely prefer to play with people my age or older; there is an 18+ requirement . This doesn't indicate the intent for explicit content, but the intent not to worry about it. We're meeting weekly for a four hour block, on (TBD) Friday or Saturday night; the exact hour TBD (tell me your preferences!). I am on Pacific time, but we also have 0.5 players (a ... let me think before I commit) on Eastern time. The plan is to start on March 3rd or 4th. I enthusiastically welcome you!, but you should make sure you're okay with the following: Deviation from RAW: I intend to try new systems and methods, drawn largely from The Angry GM's teachings. For example, a custom inspiration system. We will be creating characters together. I'm not usually going to use a battlemap. I promise I will try to make the game as fun and enjoyable as I can. We will be using sound only transmission. About the campaign. Ahhhh, now you've got me. ... I have some ideas for a homebrew floating around, but I might be persuaded to run one of the published modules, *cough*Ravenloft*cough*. Probably not though, you'll just have to wait and see. I want to try to get a bit of that sword and sorcery or dark fantasy feel; operative word: try. Spaketh he: ye shallt be mine guinea pigs! I worked really hard on my last homebrew, and I think it went pretty well. I'll be using the next couple weeks to generate content for you to play. If this sounds like your cup of tea, please fill out the following! Your name: Sam Your age: 25 Your time zone: Pacific A class of character you particularly enjoy: (DM) A good-aligned fictional character you favor and grok: (example: Aragorn, I can totally get in the head of Aragorn.)
IM so down do you think we can start in an hour or 2?

Hey! I'd love to join if I can! Ian 27 Eastern Standard I haven't actually played yet however I generally go the magic route. I'm also not opposed to bard because I think I could rp that pretty well Mercy, from Overwatch. On the surface she cares deeply about people and wants to do good, but she also has a pistol and isn't afraid to fuck shit up. Hope this works out! :)
IM so down do you think we can start in an hour or 2? Your name: John Your age: 17 Your time zone: Mountain A class of character you particularly enjoy: Fighter A good-aligned fictional character you favor and grok: Player (fighter).
My Name is Tyler I'm 27 Central Time Rogue not sure I'm the very New (hey that's me)
Your name: Larsen Your age: 24 Your time zone: Mountain A class of character you particularly enjoy: Warlock? Cleric? Very flexible on this one A good-aligned fictional character you favor and grok: I'd have to think about that one.

Your name: Mini Your age: 20 Your time zone: PST (GMT -8) A class of character you particularly enjoy: Druids, Warlocks, or Monks! Though I can enjoy playing any class, really. A good-aligned fictional character you favor and grok: This is from way back, in a series that I don't think many people have either read through entirely/remember, but in the Redwall series, there's a specific special otter named Taggerung (tl;dr - raised as a bad creature, ferret, but redeemed himself by finding the good in his heart since he's an otter - a sappy but warming story)! Redwall is a fantastic series as a whole, and one of the reasons why I love fantasy and adventure campaigns so much now. (:
Hey. My name is Hunter. I'm 18, almost 19. A little young, I know. I enjoy playing characters, not classes. However, if I were to pick specifics, I'm split right down the middle between meat walls like Barbs, Fighters, and the like, and offensives like Rogues, Sorcerers, and Warlocks. I'd probably enjoy playing everything except Druid, maybe Wizard to a lesser degree. A (chaotic) good character I favor and understand might be someone like Balthier from FFXII. Sure, he's technically a sky pirate, but he has a good heart, an awesome arc with good character growth, and is willing to put his own life on the line to try and stop the massive threat to the world that develops alongside the story.
hello  my name is Finn  Im 20 years old  i think it would be best i played a fighter or any easy charecter since i have never played D&D chaotic nuetral so i can make things up as i go along
Your name: Josh Your age: 28 Your time zone: Centeral (North Dakota) A class of character you particularly enjoy: I try to be a bit more creative in roleplay and combat, I would like to play a bard, paladin, or monk. But I'd be comfortable playing any. A good-aligned fictional character you favor and grok : Does Macgyver count? He is the closest thing I have to a spirit animal. Could a halfling rouge just persuade a city guard for keys to their friends cell? Sure they could... Wouldnt it be cool though if the halfling bard made a tiny bear suit for himself, had a friend sell him to the guard as a "mechanical dancing bear toy", bard/bear plays the part untill he gets a chance to rob the guard (or better yet convince the guards kid to seal the keys for him.)
Your name:  Luckybutt (unless you want my real name) Your age: 24/25 in March Your time zone:  PST A class of character you particularly enjoy:  I like roleplaying and like to play a class that i can think of a great backstory for. It also depends on what content you allow A good-aligned fictional character you favor and grok : Mugiwara no Luffy from the anime One Piece
Player Info: Your first name (or preferred nickname): Derek (Collins) Age:26 Current time zone:EST A little bit about yourself (A single sentence or two will do): I'm from kentucky, and I work at a automotive manufacturing plant. I've been playing DND for about 2 months now and I'm dming a game for my RL friends currently. I've been looking for a game that fits my interest and this sounds like a good opportunity. I'm a football junkie, bourbon drinking, DND adventuring, music loving, laid back kind of guy. What's your play style and experience with D&D, and Roll20 as a whole?: As above I've been playing for 2 months, but I catch on quick, i have all the books needed to play, and I'm very familar with roll20 and all its aspects since I run my own game. I value a good bit of roleplay and exploration over the head first approach. I would prefer to look for other options if possible to resolve issues, political, teamwork, or lying my way out of a sticky situation. But when the time comes to fight, I'll be looking down my scope. Character Concept #1: Character Name: Jebeddo (lefteye) Garrick Race: Rock Gnome Alignment: LG? Class:Gunslinger (Matt Mercer Fighter Class) Background:Guild Artisan A Rock Gnome who has a clever mind for inventions, he is witty and slightly conceited at times, but he has a big heart. With his ideas he has stumbled upon the explosiveness of gun powder, and a prototype of a semi working handgun that is somewhat reliable. He looks out for others before his self, and if all else fails he will put his life and reputation on the line to stand up for what is right. If this character isn't allowed will make a new sheet. I'll write out a well thought out background if approved. -only free on weekends-
Im up for It Your Name: Frost Your Age: 18 (real mature mind you) Current Time Zone ( here is where it gets a bit complicated ,but Im sure you will understand) I live In Britain ,but I follow american times because of my sleep schedule, so If I could compare it to your time zones id say central.  Alignment: Chaotic Good Mage. I was thinking of someone along the lines of a frazzled old man who loves explosions, but he will point them at evil.
