Alright I got a ruling on the teeth ammy and its been ruled out. Unfortuntly adding + anything to the monk breaks the class and is considered a homebrew addition. My previous mentioning of plated tail or teeth is also homebrew and would not be allowed in any session going forward. You can switch this to a +1 spear or any other kunei but please remove the item when you get a chance.
Gilth has: Gauntlets of gambling: proficiency is doubled for any gambling checks, get two stacks of exhaustion after use. Blood thirsty dagger: -2 when attacking first if miss you take a d8 necrotic damage, when fed it gains +2, it deals a d8 worth of necrotic damage. shield of sacrifice: as a reaction you roll a d20 your ac increases to a maximum of 2 or 10% of the roll rounded up, you take 2 points of exhaustion after use. Devoted ring of mind shielding: can reflect any charm or frighten ability, cannot be affected by magical means of reading minds, cannot take off and is attuned with me forever. ring of necrotic resistance: resistance to necrotic damage. sword of life stealing: if you critical hit someone with a 20 they take 3d6 worth of necrotic damage and you gain temp hit points half as much damage. I wanted to sell the shield of sacrifice and the sword of life stealing if any party member wanted to buy it from me let me know. otherwise those two items would also be sold along with the armor or we can substitute the items to restore Regan's character. If Tiberious does not revive him and pay us.
There is an item right out of Tyrany of Dragons, specifically Hoard of the Dragon Queen, called Insignia of Claws. It reads as follows: The jewels in this insignia of the Cult of the Dragon flare with purple light when you enter combat, empowering your natural fists or natural weapons While wearing the insignia, you gain a +1 bonus to the attack rolls and the damage rolls you make with unarmed strikes and natural weapons. Such weapons are considered to be magical. Here is a link to the text: https://tyranny-of-dragons-123.obsidianportal.com/... The above disproves the fact that it would be homebrew as it is an item included in a 5th Edition campaign book. Further more, it is an uncommon item, making it the same value (roughly) of a +1 weapon.
As of right now I have spoken with mark about it if he reverses the decision we can readd it but as of right now we will continue without it

Couldn't help but notice a lot of activity on this thread so I had to come check it out. I was not aware of such an item being available in 5e. I was going off of the history of D&D. Magic items for monks and druids have always been extremely limited since these classes I think the real issue is that magic items are entering the game without the approval of the DMs that are running those games. They are also entering the campaigns suddenly enough that the DMs are being caught off-guard and surprised by the sudden shifts in power. Another issue is that many of these items cannot be easily given an equivalence because they have no discernible market value that tells us how powerful they are. A number of the DMs have been having the same complaints about these kinds of imbalances disrupting adventures. It is not one or two people... it is most PCs. It is not by fault of the players/DMs, but because there has not been any solid guidelines for it. I am still trying to puzzle out what constitutes something that increases a PCs ECL. Some expensive magic items don't really have that kind of impact, while combinations of cheaper ones can... etc... etc... There are just too many factors and 5e is just not as well-developed as 3.5 was. So we have to work with what we have the best way that we can. Anyways, it is always up to a DM as to what is allowed in their adventures. BUT with that all being said, I have finally puzzled out a solution for handling the buying and selling of magic items that should prevent any further problems. Moderation of DM treasure given will have to be something that we deal with in the future. As we have all witnessed, sometimes you just get a crazy roll on the treasure tables and have to roll with it. There will be an announcement on the forums for dealing with this in the future. Afterwards, I will work with everyone towards finding reasonable solutions to conduct damage control for previous lack of structure.

Ultimately Daniel it is up to you what magic items you would like me to not have for your campaign, however please keep in mind I'm a 6th lvl character who will be partaking in a CR 8 campaign, so I'd rather be better off than not. Without the +1 Unarmed Strikes, the only other magic item I have worth mentioning is the Agility Ioun Stone, which is very nice, but everyone else is miles ahead of me in ECL including wealth and magic items.
I forgot one other magic item I have. I got it from OTSjourner. Mask of Disguise: you can use it one per day to use the disguise self spell. it is based on your charisma modifier. It lasts for two hours. it recharges after a day. Another thing with all these problems of magic items and DMs having a hard time keeping track of them and breaking the ECL, how about following some advice from the DMG page 228 to 231 for future rewards or level 1 rewards if you guys are having a hard time with these magical items. I did enjoy Findel's guide and him paying a little money, hardly any magic items and getting some feats.
Gunnar said: Technically I created it, but Krok didn't build it. I was rewarded it in Mike's campaign, since he gave everyone else a +1 weapon and Krok doesn't wield weapons. or at 6th level, which you are, it does not matter anymore?
Is Archaeus being revived? if so then i need to do some things with Mark to prepare. If not then adios lol.
Archaeus did get his share of the money we made as a party. When Yevena was restored to life and had her curse removed, she paid the full bill from what she had on her and her share of the take. I imagine that Archaeus probably will have enough money to pay for his return from death. If he doesn't at the present time, some of the party may decide to chip in to help him if only as a loan. Yevena did not receive any help though...

Do as you guys see fit all my games are now canceled. I would ask the "counsel" of DMs what they think on the matter. As for your item gunnar I would use that DM forum to see if the item is appropriate for your level.
I do not think I have money on me for the 900gp raise dead cost. I have 600gp atm, but with my share I will give to the rest. If I am not being revived then please let me know so I can mourn Archaeus lol. If so, then I need to set up injuries with Mark so info would be appreciated lol.

You do realize that Archaeus' share of the loot came to 841gp, 3sp, and 9cp? I know I posted the breakdown somewhere (can't figure out where at the moment, but I just consulted the sheet that I used to figure it out before posting the take). So you should have the money for the raise dead.

I think we actually had completed this adventure, but you never said what reward Tiberious was going to give us for rescuing his daughter...
I looked back in the journal I had for the adventure since this adventure was given at level 3 the reward was only 500gp. Distribute that how you will but yes the adventure was completed by you guys last session :)
There were 5 people hired, so I think the fairest distribution would be the 4 people who did the entire mission should get 100gp each and Ooni & Krok split the other 100gp, giving them 50gp each. Any objections?
Seems fine to me. We got gold besides that though, correct? I left early, so I missed whatever treasure we found.
I posted it somewhere else (can't remember exactly where), but I can give the basic breakdown. It broke down just like this: Ooni, Victor, Gilth, Archaeus & Yevena got 561gp, 2sp and 24cp from the first batch of encounters. Yevena, Gilth, Victor & Archaeus each got 47gp, 7sp and 5cp for the part where Ooni wasn't with us. Then Archaeus, Gilth. Krok, Victor & Yevena each got 233gp and 2sp from the last encounters. The magic items were dealt with at the appropriate times within the adventure. There still is the matter of the sale of the Plate Armor of Radiant Resistance and splitting of the money between Archaeus, Gilth, Victor and Yevena.

Thank you for helping out with the treasures Diana. my question is the 561 gp, 2 sp, and 24 cp. Is that for each of us or divided amongst us? I also agree with the reward amount. Even though Tiberious was cheap on this. haha.
All the figures quoted were for each person. The total take for each of Archaeus, Gilth, Victor and Yevena was 951gp, 11sp and 29cp, which includes the mission money from Tiberious. (Yeah, he was a cheapskate). I seemed to remember that there was supposed to have been some magic items, but that didn't happen. Although we still have to sell and split the money for the Plate Armor of Radiant Resistance....which was the same 4 people.
There was the promise to archaeous about helping him with a magic item creation but since you recieved the quest at level 3 the reward for that level was good but now your level 8 and the reward may seem a little low but you did recieve a good amount of loot throughout your adventure as well.
If Gilth sees him again, he should run or pay up front.
