Year Z-1 (2020) the fall of mankind happened within the first year of the outbreak. No one knows the cause, many have speculated as to what caused the outbreak of this rapidly spreading virus that has left mankind in shambles but, no one knows what truly happened. Some of the world's inhabitants died off due to the infection. However, some returned from the beyond as a mindless and rabid decaying corpse who had a lust for blood and living tissue. Although, these weren't your typical mindless creatures that had been portrayed in pop culture prior to the event. The first of the resurrected were fast paced and they traveled in pairs and seemingly still had some previous muscle memory of their former selves. Now as time moves on and decay is rapidly setting in with each passing day, the dead seem to slowly lose their muscle memory and speed. Now relying on only their sense of hearing, these creatures travel in large pacts to seek out their prey. Although, there are some reports through out the few surviving camps that depending on the environment these creatures are still very much a formidable opponent. Now You, and your small camp of survivors are on the move since the last defensive post you called home had been compromised and, with the government in retreat and no sign of a cure in sight, you and your band of brothers are left in an never ending open nightmare of martial law, ruined cities, charred remains, death at every corner and, most of all the fear of those who are still among the living and breathing, scavenging all around you trying to survive at any cost.. This a Shamblers Tale.. Will you survive to tell the tale of tales? I currently have 4 players, I'm looking to expand, I would like to have two more players. This is a home brewed edition of the Savage Worlds system (mostly everything is the same, but, I changed a few minor things)
