The party walked right into a major ambush on the way back to Bargewright Inn, with fatal effects. Paladin Keth died at the hands of she-devils, and Faeron's handmaiden Ivy spent most of her life force felling the overwhelming military and dark forces. Viktor's allegiance to the kraken cult showed its first signs of development when a kraken-bound beholder appeared on the battlefields to provide support. The party now has more intelligence to use hunting the cults and a fresh grudge to set right.
