GM looking for Numenera players

Hello! I am a LONG time DND player ( red box ) who has recently discovered the amaze balls that is Numenera. I first purchased the new Torment game and thought " wow I wish this was an actual table top game" and then when I discovered it was....!! I have spent hours listening to pod casts and play throughs and have run three games so far. I have completely stopped playing DND. This system is amazing! but... I lack for enough players and want to get another game going. My time is limited and I am looking to play on Friday or Saturday nights starting at about 9 or 10 pm eastern time. That's very hard in my area but I figured if I got people in other parts of the country perhaps I'd have better luck. Lets get together and play some Numenera!
Hey, I've seen Numenera and given the books a quick glance over but never really looked into it too much. I'm almost always willing to try a new game and would like to see what its about. I can play on Saturday night as a run Blades in the Dark on Friday though most the night. I'm Mountain time zone so 9 or 10 eastern works for me. I'll start giving those books a look over so let me know the details
Oh my, I would love to. Unfortunatly, our timezones dont match up, at all. I hope you get the best game ever running, with some nice ppl!

Have a couple of players so far ( you would make three ) that I know are interested. Just out of curiosity I'm assuming Sunday mornings arnt good? ( I'm thinking Saturdays will work best but just curious)

Sundays at 2pm est is quite doable for me. (he says all relaxed like, but is all giddy on the inside) Mind you, this would be my first Numenera game, if that is a factor for you. This does not meen tho, that i don't do my homework, i have spent hours already researching. Let me know how you feel on the matter.
My step dad in Arizona will be one of the players and he has never played either. Oh man I'm getting excited!! Are you guys on google hangouts?
If you guys get me your emails I can send out the basic players guide. It only covers creating characters and basic rules but that's all you need.
I've got the core book (Snagged it on sale a while back but never got around to reading it in full (This happens way too often (Still have literally every book of deadlands Noir))) so I should be good. I tend to run through back-to-back character generation and occasionally PC v PC tests to familiarize myself with a system before I make the actual character, so are there any additional rules your laying down for character creation?
If were talking dnd, I have characters to choose from, not so for Numenera, ill have to come up with a concept for one. I was considering a nano, but lets see how things play out. No need to send me anything, I bought the pdf, and much like Nathan ;) I'm the kind of person who might buy the book.
I'd potentially be interested in this, as I've played Numenera a few times before and had a lot of fun with it. Friday or Saturday evenings would work equally well for me, not so much Sunday morning/afternoon, but I could probably swing it as long as I don't sleep in too much. I'm also on the west coast, so while there is a time difference, "late" times wouldn't affect me as much.

If anyone wants a mutant I will work with them to ensure satisfactory mutation. It's supposed to be completely random which sometimes works out... but not always. I also have PDF compiled of both the expanded character options so if someone has an idea for a character and the core books seems to be missing what you need let me know. The other books have a ton more do I and descriptors as well as other class abilities. There is also two new classes or roles as they are called in this system.

As a side note I'm totally up for running multiple campaigns one on Saturday night and one on Sunday early afternoon late morning ( depending on your time zone)
Yeah, I'd be fine with either. Honestly, 10-11 AM on Sundays sounds good. I'm usually up before then even when I do sleep in.
what do you guys think about the first day being a history and background as well as character generation day? With this system its really easy for a group of people to make characters at the same time, and it would give us a good understanding of what everyone wants to play, as well as making sure we are all unique enough to not be bumping in each others way.

When i saw this i almost thought i was hallucinating haha! I have been wanting to try the system out ever since i got the game as well, I LOVE it to death, and we are in the same timezone, so this is perfect. Im available fri/sat/sun after 6pm. I have the books, I simply need to give them a proper once-over. Definitely interested if there is still space. I have decent experience with other systems D&D 3/3.5/5, Mutants and Masterminds, Call of Cthulhu, etc.
Ok guys I want to get everyone who wants to play on the same page. I have a google hangout create just for this. Please got to the link and get added. Join the conversation on Hangouts: https://hangouts.google.com/group/fwrduRtfzvlc13J42
