LOCATION: Soulforge Central Chamber DATE/TIME: ??? WHO: THC Eventually, Lucian breaks the silence between him and Invidia. "I'm sorry. It's not fine. I'm not fine, and if you don't feel fine, then you shouldn't force yourself to feel fine either. I shouldn't have told you to shut the fuck up earlier.” Lucian pauses and lies down on the cold steel of the platform as it feels like his chest is being gripped by a giant, “ It just hurts... It just hurts so much to get so close and still fail. I've just been replaying every moment of how it went down wondering whether I could have done something different. If I had started talking to him sooner, if I had noticed his actions beforehand, if I hadn't gotten shocked after he had gotten shot in the back, and I know that I could have. This is all my fault, I failed all of you. I risked your lives to talk him down and I failed completely and utterly. I just thought that I had gotten used to this after so many years, I tell myself that it's fine and just keep on being the same old piece of shit idiot I always am and nothing ever changes. Ameria, Alea, countless people in my adventuring years, my former partner, Robben, Xilthana, Geldrick, the Trolls, Snoot, The Jester, and Klektash. There are so many many more people than that who I’ve failed to save, and I keep thinking that I am used to it, but it always hurts so much. I’m sorry for being this weak in front of you. I know I shouldn’t burden others with my problems, but my hands won’t stop shaking and I can’t keep burying this anymore.” Lucian continues to breathe hard as his eyes well up with large ugly tears, and he chokes down a sob in his throat before continuing. “Whatever you feel about your decision, promise me that you won't let it consume you. You can mourn it and regret it, but don't let that snap decision be what defines you buddy. You were trying to protect everyone, and that's what matters ."

"I am Lucian Lampurge, idiotic sorceror and warlock of our adventuring team here. Together, we are currently acting as diplomats in the hope of stopping a conflict that eventually leads to the world above's destruction, but usually we take on dangerous missions in exchange for reward and are currently working on diversifying our assets and portfolios." Lucian gives Boreas a small card with a dark skinned man wearing a hat doing a dance below a logo of a rising sun, on the back are the words: The Horizon Company and some small business info including their mail box in Trolanport.

They managed to overcome the trials of the forge intact, including their battle with my trapped spirit.'  "The Horizon Company. Interesting. Is this 'conflict' you spoke of related to the Soulforge or something else?"

LOCATION : Soulforge Central Chamber DATE/TIME : ???+3 Hours WHO : THC, Boreas "Well I'm glad you brought that up. As we mentioned earlier the gates to Xoriat is opening and our enemy has already been here for centuries, infiltrating society. If we don't stop them the gates will open and everyone on the continent will go mad. Ah, I forgot to mention that the Drow are allied with them, and also want to blot out the sun so that they can conquer the surface world and usher in an age of darkness. According to Mollin no one on the surface believes this is a threat, but I've met a total of ..." he paused and counted using his fingers "... six to ten people who believe me, and I've never heard from them since. So, yeah - you'll understand why I was such a rude cunt earlier when we first met given the fact that literally everyone I know and love is on the line." He took a deep breath so that he could dive back in. "Which brings me to this line of questions. Where are the dragon gods locked? Why and how? And can you read lines from the Draconic Prophecy? Do you have allies back home that can help us?"
LOCATION : Soulforge Central Chamber DATE/TIME : ???+3 Hours WHO : THC, Boreas "Well, a warforged named T9, a race of living mechanical men created by the soulforge, arrived from an alternate future timeline to warn us that a new faction of drow who utilize technology and diplomacy would ally with demons, mindflayers, and a created army of warforged to conquer the entire continent of Khorvaire and that they would then go on to begin laying siege to the other continents of the world along with the daelkyr. With the arcane magics of the resistance leader who was the future version of our most rookie member at the time and several powerful ancient artifacts, T9 was sent back in time to alert us to this problem before it was too late. Secretly, the future resistance leader instructed him to actually travel with us to determine the original location of the creator of warforged, the father of our party barbarian who is the prototype warforged, and go back in time further to kill him once done. T9 just betrayed us when we went down, and in the course of the fighting, he was killed. " Lucian says morosely. "We're going to head back to the dragon Bellavantor who is the Boss Master of my friend Veger here, " Lucian gestures to a small deep gnome who looks like a small ball of muscle and metal holding a gigantic sapphire colored shield, "Who is currently leading the main resistance to the drow army and help him defeat the drow. After that, we're trying to figure out the answer to an ancient draconic prophecy by finding dead dragons which trigger a trance state for me as well as decipher a tattoo on my more rogueish friend's back" Lucian then does a double finger gun to Dysmas. "We need to do this in order to stop a variety of interdimensional rifts from spreading and devastate the world. As well, we also have to eventually stop an undead army that destroyed a country from rampaging, defeat the daelkyr who were released and caused that undead army, and also solve various issues we all took to adventuring to stop." Lucian pauses for a bit, and then says, "Also we're trying to help our cleric Cyprus find his boat and his loved one."

LOCATION : Soulforge Central Chamber DATE/TIME : ???+3 Hours WHO : THC, Boreas Boreas chuckled at the antics of the two adventurers. "I think I've gotten the general idea of what you face. For your questions, I don't know many of the details on where the dragons gods are locked, only that they were locked away in a plane of existence that they had created for themselves long ago. The prophecies as well are beyond me and if you are hoping for an army of dragons to aid your cause, you are going to be very disappointed. My brethren tend to avoid this continent entirely. They called me a fool for venturing here long ago. As for this 'Boss Master', a fitting title." Boreas gives an amused smile, imagining a minion of his own. "I do recognize the name."

LOCATION : Soulforge Central Chamber DATE/TIME : ??? +3 Hours, when Dysmas and Lucian are somewhat alone WHO : THC What a massive joke would it be if I simply asked Lucian if 'He was ok?' How could someone be 'OK' after that. Dysmas thought. He had no clue how Lucian carried so much sorrow on his shoulders without breaking him. Or perhaps his friend was already broken?  Dysmas could not stand to see the man who inspired hope within him bear this grief alone, and for the first time since the battle he realized how terrible he felt knowing the last thing he ever told T9 was that he was a coward. The irony was bitter in his mouth.  Dysmas placed a hand on Lucians shoulders and lightly squeezed, and his mind grasped at something to say. "When we get back to the Island we should build a gravestone for him. He will always be one of us. We can honor his sacrifice by making sure that the Drow never conquer Eberron." He paused and waited for a reaction. "I know there is nothing I can say to blunt the pain of what just happened. I just need you to know that, his sacrifice and your faith are not lost on this world. It has, and is making an impact Lucian." He paused again, and felt uncertain of the impact his words made on Lucian. " Please don't bear the weight of this by yourself Lucian."

Bellavantor demanded that we all take oaths of loyalty not to betray him and defend the city. He might demand the same of you, and, well I don't you'll oblige him. Will you?"

He will have no reason to harass me for that." ' And if he tries, he will learn that I am not as weak as this form appears.'

"The way you say that makes me think you're capable of some cool shit bruv. I lool forward to seeing it. So uh, what are these Dragon Gods?"
LOCATION : Soulforge Central Chamber DATE/TIME : ???+3 Hours WHO : THC, Boreas Boreas grinned widely for a moment at Dysmas' excitement before his face fell slightly at the mention of the dragon gods. "The dragon gods are just as their name implies: gods of dragonkind. Just like with many other gods, they rule over many different domains and are worshipped by both good and evil dragons. I myself am a follower of the Platinum Dragon, Bahamut." Boreas gave a heavy sigh. "It has been a very long time since Lord Bahamut and the other dragon gods were locked away. Far too long."

LOCATION: Soulforge Central Chamber DATE/TIME: ??? WHO: THC Lucian sits upright, takes a deep breath, and composes himself. It wasn't often that he got the chance to genuinely express his concerns, and for that he was sincerely grateful to Invida. " If you're looking for good retirement plans, I suggest investing in various dwarven businesses. They tend to weather volatile changes well in my experience. I mean, I can usually find a good dwarven restaurant pretty much anywhere I've traveled for some reason. It's seriously pretty crazy. " Lucian pauses, " You're right though. All of this shouldn't be our responsiblity. It shouldn't be our problem. In an ideal world, the Kingdoms would be working together and proactive in responding to threats. The drow matriarchy would have an economic system not built upon slave labor and institutionalized misandry and be incorporating modern infrastructure to make their people safer in the underdark. Wild monsters would stop attacking villages weak from war. The various races would work together... ." Lucian trails off. " I really wish the world was like that Invidia " Lucian takes out his scrapyard wand to idly cast some cantrips and thinks of the trolls who gave it to him.. Lucian leans back comfortably, " I wanted to fall in love once I think, but I don't believe there is anything left for me aside from this life. I had been , content to drift through life ignorant of the money my family made off the slave trade, but I have spent the last 7 years traveling Eberron and seen firsthand what happens when people are content to be ignorant. I have no trade or skill to offer the world, and as I adventure," Lucian suddenly slaps his metallic shin with one of his hard scales and a shrill metallic sound is heard, " I gather more injuries and wounds that even my draconic constitution and magic I cannot heal." Lucian looks determinedly into the abyss " But if I can save even a single life, I will persist until there is nothing left of me to give. " Lucian stands up, and turns to face Invidia. " Invidia, I had seen fighting my brothers as a suicide mission for years and I was prepared to die in the attempt, but if we succeed, I will come into a great fortune. If that comes to pass, then I want you to take it all and use it for good. Use it to fund your projects, new adventuring groups, and The Horizon Company's endeavors. There is also a vast library filled with tomes of demonic lore and magics that will also need to be taken care of that I figure you would like. No matter what happens, even if I die in the fighting, I will make sure that you can use it to fund your projects.” Lucian confidently strides up to Invidia. " I know that's a large burden I’ve placed upon you, but I’m convinced that you’re the only man I’ve met with the vision to see it through. Don’t go thinking this is some spur of the moment decision either. I've noticed your uncanny knack for organization, common sense, and intelligence, and to have all of those traits at the age of 18 is even better.   I have no doubt in in my mind that you’re the best person for this job. Even though my family made their fortune through the most vile means of man, I am confident you could use it for good. " Lucian asks  ,“ What do you think ?”
LOCATION: Soulforge Central Chamber DATE/TIME: ??? WHO: THC "What's with that fatalistic attitude?" Invidia asks. "Look, Lucian, at the end of the day, I just want to cook food and study reality. I guess souls now too." Lucian wasn't sure if the wizard meant he wanted to cook souls or study them. "I'd be willing to take the magic and lore under my care—which, don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful for—but if we go after your family aren't we just getting sucked back into it? More than likely we'll trigger some other destructive event while taking them down, then we have to go fix that up too. Maybe we should just... stop," Invidia finished.

Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC After traveling for some time with mysterious gloom stalker, the team eventually found themselves making camp instead of forcing themselves to march for days on end. Providing Rhain with some supplies to make himself comfortable, the team makes themselves comfortable, and begin warming themselves by the fire while Invidia begins preparing the meal.  Figuring they would have some time until it was ready and that he knew comparatively little of Rhain, Lucian decided to inquire more about him. Relaxing a particularly relaxing rock that only lightly stabbed into him, Lucian asked the ranger, " So tell us a little about yourself man. I had heard of you in my travels as a skiilled warrior of justice, but I find rumors tend to leave out all the details. What are you like? How long have you been doing this? Any Hobbies? If you got any questions for us, feel free to ask as well. I'm willing to answer anything. "
Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC Rhain was still torn between anger for having his mind and life toyed with by an apparently evil warlock and feeling regret for almost ending the life of someone that is more than likely good.  Even if Lucian's story about events in the world sounds crazy.  He sounded genuine and considering what his brother did to Rhain to try and get Lucian killed.  Well just adds to the possibility of Lucian being an actual good guy.  Just as he had these good thoughts about Lucian he heard the barrage of questions.  Rhain couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head at how long he went on with them.  Kind of reminded him of himself when he was much younger and more innocent.   "Warrior of justice?  Went from Death's Shadow to Warrior of Justice huh?  That's interesting.  The skilled part is spot on but warrior of justice I am not.  I simply have a moral code I go by to only hunt those who have earned it.  Most good people simply have not, and honestly I don't even know if you deserve it or not since none of my information was good besides your name.  But considering how your brother used magic on me it doesn't matter even if you are deserving at this point.  The details are not glamorous or heroic.  I am a skilled tracker and hunter.  Those meant to be brought in alive I would simply take away their ability to run.  Those meant to be killed I would end.  Its a dirty but simple business that I keep my conscience clear on by sticking to my code." He took a drink of some water and paused for a breath before continuing.  "What am I like though well....I am pretty cold, calculated, and kind of a smart ass when it fits.  Beyond that I couldn't really tell you.  I haven't really allowed anyone to be close to me personally beyond business contacts since I started on this path.  Safer that way..."  Rhain drifts off for a mere moment as somehow the feeling of loss tugged at him once more before returning to his campfire demeanor.  "How long have I been bounty hunting?  Hmmm probably for 10 or 15 years or so.  I stopped keeping track of birthdays and time a long while ago.  Hobbies are target practice, cards, drinking, and if the opportunity calls for it...women.  I may keep people at bay but a warm bed keeps warm spirits."  He grins and leans back a bit where he sat.  His eyes moving around the darkness. "You know there was a time I couldn't see so well in the dark.  Part of why I wasn't made a hunter in my village despite my archery prowess.  That was a long time ago though.  Kind of had to adapt so that I could hunt my prey efficiently."  Rhain realized he was rambling about his past in a manner he didn't normally.  "So ask you something.  Well...you explained the madness that is supposedly going on, and that you just got done dealing with the Drow.  What exactly was the goings on there?  and well how the hell are you so care free about your brother's sending people to kill you and why have you not sought revenge yet?"
Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC Lucian tried to find a comfortable way to sit on the cave floor and fails before he begins. " Welp, that is a long story for sure, so I'l do my best to summarize. Basically, a warforged, a race of sentient machines created by House Cannith, arrives from the future to warn us of a dire threat facing the continent of Khorvaire. A new faction of underground drow had created an intricate spying operation and stolen cutting edge technology from a wide variety of factions, eventually kidnapping the creator of warforged and partnered with various femons o creare an unstpppable army in a bid t conquer the surface while the kingdoms were divided. To stop them, we worked as diplomats on behalf of Veger's master, a powerful dragon , to gather a resistance while also looking to rescue the creator of warforged before he would be forced to make them their army." Lucian pauses, "We lost some good people along the way only to find out that Veger's master had done some diplomacy of his own and robbed us of our narrative agency there" Lucian looks rather cross as he segues into the latter, griping about how someone named Ari didn't even get to inplement her Flumph Plan and ignoring Invidia's personal quest before composing himself. " Anyway, we did prevent them from getting the warforged army so that's one apocalypse averted . Lucian the gn ges a nonchalant shrug and says , "Veger's master also promised he would handle the rest of the fighting to stop the drow so we have to trust him while we handle that whole daelkyr and interdimensional portal business." Lucian's body posture notably shifts as though burdened with regret, leaning forward and resting his arms on his knees. " As for my brothers, I've tried. On my 20th birthday, I attempted to fight all of them after they murderee my dog and tried to sacrifice my friend. Despite that spell I cast on you, I had no offensive magic in my youth and lost horribly. "  Lucian gives a rue smile from his nostalgia at being called a shitty sorceror. Hard to believe he had been a pacifist before all this . "because of my weakness then, they made me a devil's deal. Leave my home town and never return or they would murder each and every person I still loved. I didn't doubt them after seeing what they were capable of and left to train and become stronger . Lucian enhances the flames with his magic. " In the years since then, I made a warlock pact and enhanced my sorcerous powers. I've adventured from one end of Eberron to the other, looking for items to help me on this quest, training, and helping people I've met along the way. But, the time for that is over. Now, my friends and I here intend to go back and finish the job. I had considered it a suicide mission before, but now I think we stand a good chance." Lucian continues, " you told me that you intend to get revenge on them for their deception, and if so you'll never find more stalwart allies than the Horizon Company. I know we got off on the wrong foot, but if you can forgive me for injuring you, then I think we can be great friends." Lucian extends his hand forwards, his eyes filled with grim determination after telling his tale, and then he suddenly brightens up and snaps his fingers with his other hand before remarking "Also people try to murder me a lot so I guess I just got used to attempts on my life. I try not to take it too personally anymore."

Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC Rhain ran a hand through his hair still beneath his hood as he listened to what Lucian had to say.  His eyes narrowed as the drow were brought up by Lucian.  He would have likely heard something of this going on and been working to do something about it himself if it wasn't for that damn warlock charming him.  Staying attentive to Lucian's words it was good news at least to hear the drow's plans had been foiled at the very least.  The topic of Warforged though.  He had only heard rumors of them.  Nothing concrete or tangible really.  The things he was hearing though weren't good. It was easy to see the regret and frustration Lucian carried when he got to talking about what Veger's master had done and then their history with the brothers.  People dying for a cause that got underminded by the very being sending them on it.  Seems all too common a theme throughout the nations of late.  Masters or politician's often care little for those who work for them beyond their usefulness.  Part of why Rhain had stayed solo for so long, it was easier that way.  The life Lucian had apparently grown into caused Rhain to wonder how he had become seemingly a good person or at the very least a much better person than their brothers.   From under Rhain's hood and shadowed face his blue eyes followed Lucian's hand as they extended it out towards him.  He shook his head.  "No apologies.  I attacked you first and in the end the one responsible for all injuries incurred isn't present here nor will they get the chance to apologize for their wrong doings if I have anything to say about it.  No offense but I haven't taken on anything like friendship in a long time for a number of reasons and I am not looking for friends, and I normally work alone.  However considering how my mind was altered and manipulated by your brothers the last time.  I could certainly use some aid in this justified vengeance." Rhain reached out and took Lucian's hand in his own and leaned in staring into Lucian's eyes with a none hostile intensity.  "I aim to kill your brother for what he did to me and anyone that gets in my way of achieving said vengeance.  I won't be talking it out or be showing mercy as you all did me this day.  I don't know how one just gets used to having their life attempted on a number of times nor how you seem to be so different than your brother.  But there will be no mercy, no negotiations only the life being forced from their bodies by my arrows or otherwise.  I don't know if the drow that ruined my life has been killed by me or someone else or if they are still alive.  But I do know I have not allowed another to trespass on my life since that day and I will not let this go.  So know that if you take me there will be no middle ground to be had.  The only resolution here is their death.  Are we in agreement and allies in this Lucian?" Rhain's facial features almost unseeable beneath his cloak in the darkness but he made sure his piercing cold ice blue eyes were visible as he awaited Lucian's response.  He bore no ill will with Lucian but he had to know if he could trust Lucian and his Horizon Company to finish the job when the time came or if  they need to part ways.  What Rhain didn't account for when he made his eyes so visible was his mind thinking about his mother, father, and village from the topic at hand causing his eyes to momentarily waiver from their cold intenseness to emotion, sorrow, pain, before returning back to the cold intense stare.  Not knowing if Lucian was looking close enough to see the small tear that left one of his eyes briefly disappearing into the darkness hiding his face.

Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp Date/Time : ???, After Rhain's Attack, before Rhains and Lucians conversation WHO : THC Those Deep gnomes really put the whole lizard body to use . Dysmas absently thought taking another bite of the jerky while inspecting his new blade. It was moments like this when he knew he was still a thief at heart – the breathless excitement at holding a beauty such as this. Or maybe he was still that boy from the village who played at being a knight. Knights have legendary weapons, made by foreign smiths of the rarest materials, just like in the stories his father used to tell him. And it had a pretty great name, Rhaincutter . That was an Andre move he thought cutting his cheek up like that. You're better than that Hill giant SOB . Rhain would probably hold it against him and that could get him killed if the man had to make a lifesaving decision in a pinch. He sighed realizing how calculated he would sound if he said this aloud. No matter how far he was from Lady Kali he couldn’t not help but imitate her almost cold flare for strategy, but more often it was drowned out by his cowardice or even worse, his gun-ho confidence. “The man was charmed Dysmas, he didn’t mean it.” He whispered to himself, and glanced over at Rhain crouched by the fire. The flames light could not pierce the darkness through his hood. Even his shadows seemed thicker, darkness made solid. It dawned on Dysmas that there was something of Geldrick in this man, and that almost send him into a spiral of grief. That was when he noticed that Rhain was talking to Lucian, and he was pulled in two different directions. He wanted to stay here, hovering over his childhood dreams of knighthood, like in his mother’s lullabies. Safe from all the death, betrayal and futility. Here he could not remember the voices of the dead. But by the fire were his friends, and a man he couldn’t turn his back on. When he inched closer to the fire he discovered that Rhain was opening up to Lucian. This came as no surprise to Dysmas. Lucian had a gift for hope and it was in the nature of a gift that it be endlessly given. He crouched by the fire, and chewed on his jerky. As Rhain spoke frankly he realized that the man’s expression was cold, like a marble pillar at midnight. But the light caught something that rolled down Rhain's cheek, as he leaned forward and grasped Lucians hands. A tear, tinged orange by the fire.
Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp Date/Time : ???, After Rhain's Attack, after Rhains and Lucians conversation WHO : THC There was a lull before Dysmas interjected. He gave a cursory cough, before glancing at the team assembled by the fire. “So, I think we should talk about a plan. First things first, while we are in Korranberg we should visit that big library they have there, and do as much research on the Dragons Gods. Who they are, and where they were locked up, how to undo the ritual.” He waved his hand skeptically. “But I doubt we’ll find the answers to those questions there. If we can’t find them, we should instead research other places that hold the answers, and organizations. Back in Cog there are these dragon nuts called the Cults of the Dragons Below. We could hire a group of mercs to raid their safehouses and collect intel.” He raised his second finger “Second thing we need to do is get some info on the Lampurges. Word of mouth from sailors, merchants, nobles – heck even slavers if we need to. Cause we cannot fight them without knowing what they are doing these days.” He glanced at Veger when he spoke for the last time “And we’re going to need allies. As many as we can scrounge, and besides Veger we don’t have enough connections to make a top-side army.” He looked Lucian straight in the eye. “except for you Lucian. Once we defeat your family, I assume you will become the head of your house, and with that all its gold, steel and men. We should use that Lampurge name to talk some sense into the Queen of Cyre so that she can aid us as well. Maybe if she knew that Xoriat was responsible for the destruction of Cyre Central she’d be more willing to avenge her people. Maybe we could make Cyrpus the admiral of our ships. He could get a crew set up – hopefully not out of Zilargo – and give the company a proper navy.” He set down his empty pannikin and rested his hands on the balls of his knees. “That’s all I can think of now. Any of y’all got any plans we need sorted out before we return to Taer Valestraes for a Lampurge family visit? Also, Rhain do you remember anything about the Lampurges that might help us? Manor layout, guard composition, stuff like that.”

Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp Date/Time : ???, After Rhain's Attack, after Rhains and Lucians conversation WHO : THC "Sure," Invidia agrees while ripping a piece of bread off a loaf with his mouth. "I've always wanted to stop by the Library of Korranberg, and this is a good a time as any. I've always appreciated old Dhakaani architecture, but never had the opportunity to study it in detail. You know, apparently the founder of the library thought that the Sovereign Host was actually a bunch of extremely powerful dragons, though as far as I know, there hasn't been any proof given one way or the other. Boreas, would you know anything about that?" After listening to the humanoid dragon's response, Invidia continues. " Should probably spend a few days in Trolanport and get our bearings first. Catch up on news and the like." He chews on the bread for a while before gulping it down with a swig of cider. "Really shouldn't piss off the Trust again. I didn't even know they really existed before Blowguh, and the idea of anonymous gnome assassins frightens me more than I care to admit in the presence of just about anyone else."  He listens to the rest of Dysmas' suggestions before responding to them in kind. "I'd wager we can get some more leads at the library, given how impressive and thorough it's supposed to be on dragon lore. Might be good for Boreas to catch up on recent events as well. Not so certain on the idea of forming an army or navy proper, though expanding our little troupe of adventurers wouldn't hurt. Last I was topside, the Zil were steadfastly neutral and were selling gear to all sides. Smart, if you ask me. However, this also means they probably wouldn't take kindly to a buildup of troops." He nibbles on some more food. "Would be interesting if we could open up a diplomatic channel to the gnomes. Their avowed neutrality means that they'll fob off their operations to people like us for the sake of deniability. Might be some profit in there." Another swig of cider. "Don't know if they've settled on a proper line of succession for Cyre yet. We should check up on that while in Trolanport."

Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC "I'll admit, there is still a part of me that wishes I could talk reason into my brothers, " Lucian begins,"  but if I let them live, then I know they will continue to hurt people. I don't like taking lives needlessly, but all I can do now as their brother is try and make it painless. " Lucian vigorously Rhain's hand with a great deal of earnestness and a wide smile on his face. While he hadn't known Rhain for long, Lucian was glad that the guy seemed pretty friendly underneath all his Death's Shadow business and from what he had seen (or hadn't seen technically), the guy was remarkably skilled given his feats in the fight. It always made him happy to have the opportunity to meet new people, though admittedly he wished the circumstances could be quite different. With confidence, Lucian gives a thumbs up and says, " From today on, count the Horizon Company as your allies. Working together can only make us stronger. " Lucian then says to Dysmas, " A plan sounds nice. I don't mind having a little bit strategy beyond 'Walk in and defeat everyone important' every now and then. We need to focus on how to defeat my family first though. While I don't mind your grand scheming, I think it is a little ambitious at the moment. I mean, we should fulfill our promise to Cyprus to find Comstock before we go and make him an admiral, and the Lampurge name is honestly pretty trash to most people with consciences. I'm not even sure if the whole Cyre lineage of succession was determined when the day of mourning happened like Invidia said. I do like the idea of researching the dragons though. I'll have to leave it to you and Invidia as research isn't exactly my forte. I can definitely help gather info on the streets however." Lucian pauses and continues, " In the meantime, I'll let you guys know  what I remember about my older brothers. They vary a bit, but they're all dangerous in their own ways.. " Lucian turns to Rhain, and says, "From what you've told me, I think you met my oldest brother Leopold,"  Lucian casts minor illusion and creates the image of a handsome man who looks much like him, albeit one with sharp black hair kept in a short style and a smug expression upon his face. Tall and dressed in fancy clothing,  is clearly an image of a relative of Lucian's despite the slightly different appearance.  "Unless he's changed wildly, he prefers to act through others, believes himself to be a cunning leader, and is fairly pragmatic. Because of that, he forged a pact of the chain in order to have a perfectly servant, and he's the most likely to have a large amount of mercenaries by his side at all times so an ambush could be tricky. Given his personality, I also suspect he is likely to have learned how to summon fiends if he believed he could control them. He's much more of a schemer than the others, and tricking you would be right up his alley." Lucian alters the image into a man with greasy brown hair, large bags under his eyes, and a disheveled appearance about him despite the quality of his clothing. Despite having handsome features, his lack of care to himself and fierce expression make him appear offputting, and he seems to be more slight and almost effiminate in appearance than either Lucian or Leopold. "Next is Lysander. Unlike me or my brothers, he's much more of a loner and seemed to have a quiet contempt for just about anyone he's ever met. If I had to call it, I would say he most likely chose to make a pact of the Tome in order to enhance his own magical abilities. Whenever he taunted me, he would brag about his magic, and we'll need to be prepared for whatever forms of defensive arcane abilities he could use against us with all the funding of a rich noble family. He didn't have a lot of friends when I knew him, preferring to hang out with my other brothers or servants, but that could have changed since the time that I've known him." Lucian alters the image once again, recasting minor illusion to display the image of the last of his brothers, and shows a more brutish looking fellow. Dressed in expensive and ornate armor, the man looks more muscular than the others and has a grin of genuine joy and confidence albeit with remarkably cruel eyes that seem to directly challenge whoever is looking at him. " My last brother is Lionel, who quite obviously took the pact of the blade. He's much less restrained than my other brothers and lives to satisify himself mostly. When he was younger, he would drink himself into fits and beat a servant with a cane until they apologized for whatever slight offended him. Despite that, he is capable of being rather cunning and charming when he isn't indulging himself, and he was moderately known as a duelist for a time. He's still a sleazy man who has troubles with being told no however. All of my brothers get along really well on the outset, but I imagine there might be some internal conflicts between them over things like the inheritance or their conflicting personalities." Lucian pauses, dispels the magic, and then says, " I actually do have one more sibling, though she's a bit of a wild card. She's my younger sister Lily. I barely know her because she was sent to boarding school when young and lived there for years. She should be around Dysmas's age I think. She could theoretically have become anything, and I am unsure as to how complicit she is in regards to my family's dealings. Still, best to be diligent.   " Keep in mind, my info is about 7 years out of date. I've only been hearing rumors and second hand information about them for a while. It is entirely possible that any of that might have changed since I've been gone. I can look into them when we reach our destination, but I wanted to know if you guys had any ideas as to maybe laying a trap? We know they also have bad info on us due to Rhain not being told how dangerous we are or the specifics of who I was with so we could potentially fake my death for example and use it to set up an ambush. I mean, it's not like we'll do something like play a super popular sport where everyone and their mothers will know about us amiright? "
Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC Invidia snorts. "What a ridiculous concept." "Besides," he continues, "it really doesn't seem like they're putting a lot of effort into killing you. Sending Rhain was a token one, at best." He glances at the ranger. "No offense meant, of course. I doubt that they would only send one person if they really wanted him dead."
Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC Rhain nodded to Lucian as they shook hands.  He could tell killing wasn't in Lucian's nature and he still wondered how Lucian has gone through what he has said and still remains a kind enough person to not even want to kill people that have made his life hell and attempt on his life.  None the less Lucian agreed so Rhain is content to travel with the Horizon Company until the task is done at least.  Rhain kinda of leaned back some listening to Dysmas and Lucian before responding to Dysmas himself.  There were no more flickers of emotion he was completely in control and eyes cold but intense once more looking to Dysmas.  "As far as information I have...well I didn't meet them anywhere helpful to our goals here.  I was met at an abandoned warehouse in Taer Valastras by the docks.  There was a plentiful amount of guards and a bunch of slaves.  Work was being done but I doubt he stays there often.  Likely picked that place just in case I did get uncharmed." Moving his gaze to Lucian.  "The description seems relatively correct about Leopold and by the image its close enough that I can safely say that was him.  He most definitely had a Fiend of some kind at his side that was no mere familiar.  Too large and seemed to instill too much fear in those around to be as weak as a familiar.  So with that knowledge either your brother has gained an alliance with some Fiends or his pact involves some protection.  Either way it does make things more difficult.  However Leopold is my mark and I gather by the handshake earlier now "our" mark." Rhain catches Invidia's snort and comments that followed.  Rhain chuckles somewhat annoyed by the comment before responding.  "Invidia is it?  You have said you only recently acquired your ally Boreas here and I am guessing while in the Underdark before coming out.  If that is the case then that is an entire person that was not expected to be in the travelling bunch even if the Lampurges have good spies or information systems they wouldn't have known about him or any gained strength in the time you were down there.  Not to mention I am not certain that they knew that Lucian knew the light cantrip.  For without that spell revealing me and making me visible I likely would have taken down each of you that wouldn't have surrendered in the darkness here while in my charmed state.  I am not cheap to hire and have a quite the reputation.  Good luck finding another bounty hunter of my skill level willing to take on a dangerous mark that has survived the Underdark." Rhain took a breath and relaxed a bit visibly in his shoulders.  "I as a rule work alone and it draws a lot less attention sending one person.  Hiring someone to kill another person who is not marked for death by a nation's governing body of any kind is called murder even if indirect due to the hiring.  So Leopold likely hired me for my skill set.  Lack of probability of getting seen or caught by authorities.  As well as its a lot easier to charm 1 person than multiple and provided him a higher chance that either Lucian would die as desired or I would leaving him no loose strings either way.  Because if you all would have killed me you would not have known who sent me.  So sending one person is a lot cleaner and simpler than sending a group.  Plus if they would have found out I got killed they could have used that to gauge the new power level of Lucian and his compatriots to help them make the next attempt more assuredly deadly." Rhain stretches relaxing further.  "No personal offense was taken Invidia but those who have little experience or know little about bounty hunting should probably not jump to fast conclusions based on simple assumptions.  Especially when those conclusions could get you or your friend Lucian here killed if you arrogantly went with them.  I can't say with complete certainty but I am guessing I have a lot of experience on all of you in this area of business methodology and lifestyle.  Adventuring into the Underdark and doing what you say you did is not something most could accomplish however adventuring and bounty hunting or in the case of the Lampurges hired assassination attempts not quite the same thing.  Even if both involve killing."  Then he laid back crossing his arms behind his head ready to rest.  "Oh and putting out that fire sooner rather than later would be smart to avoid any unwanted incursions by dark faring creatures.  Most of them are quite attracted to light in the middle of darkness in hopes of finding an easy meal.  Likely best we rest safely and make plans for the Lampurges on our way to this library that you all apparently need to visit.  No point in trying to make one based on old or limited information.  We can find out more in a city or at least I can if nothing else."
Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp Date/Time : ???, After Rhain's Attack, after Rhains and Lucians conversation WHO : THC Boreas shook his head in response to Invidia's question. "I'm afraid I only know what I've told you of the dragon gods. I suppose it's possible. The most ancient dragons made me look like a wyrmling when I was at the height of my power. That sort of power would seem godly to any other races." As the group continued discussing their future plans Boreas listened and interjected occasional bits of advice. As the conversation wound down Boreas chose to speak up. "I'll admit that many of the events that the group is dealing with would normally be something beneath my notice. However, I owe this group a debt for freeing my soul from it's confinement. I will help you all see out these tasks. 'If nothing else, it sounds like an amusing way to pass the time as I regain my power. And do some good on top of all that.'

Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC Invidia snorts at Rhain's braggadocio. "Ah yes," he replies, "the rare and mystical light  cantrip. The bane of those things that lurk in the dark. Which in this case, I suppose is you. Even without our formerly-scaled friend here, I think we could've hand ily defeated you. Pun intended." "Not sure your ideas on murder really hold up," Invidia continues. "If you had killed Lucian during our jaunt in Khyber, I doubt any court in the land would have prosecuted you. The fractured nations of the overland are too busy worrying about each other to care for the murder of a single person down below. Especially with his family's infamous reputation." "That is really the question at hand. It really makes no sense that they would send an individual to assassinate him, especially in the Underdark," Invidia muses. "Discretion goes out the window in that place. Not sure how they would've found out about you being dead, either." He yawns and gets up to begin the ritual for summoning Leomund's Tiny Hut. "No need to fear the creatures around here," he wryly remarks, "I've got a few tricks up my sleeve."
Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC Rhain just chuckles without even sitting up.  "They didn't know you were in the Underdark I figured that out by tracking you.  I guess you assume the Lamburges have much more knowledge but yet underestimate their intent or ability to get Lucian killed.  Not sure how you go both ways on that but you are probably young if I had to guess so maybe many things make sense that shouldn't.  Light cantrip is largely held by clerics and sometimes wizards.  By their information you, Invidia, the one mage of the group did not have it or hadn't utilized it and they did not know Lucian had it...and yes without your Dragon friend but with the light cantrip you would have still bested me.  However without the light cantrip being used in a creative manner by Lucian or your dragon friend?  Well I am confident what the outcome would have been.  Regardless...." Rhain then sits up and peers over to Invidia with a grin not even visibly phased by what Invidia had said to him.  "This isn't a pissing contest and this was the result.  The intel was limited and bad and I would rather not return the favor to Leopold. So try to be smug and arrogant if you like mage but the fact is I was a strong hire to kill Lucian with the information had and if they find out I failed the next attempt will be that much stronger and deadlier.  Likely in a large force as you think it should be with your massive expertise in assassinations or bounty hunting."  He winked at Invidia with a grin while allowing his face to show.  "Now Lucian agreed to help kill Leopold and said I could count Horizon Company as my allies.  I hope that is the case but I am going after Leopold with or without you all.  So if you decide not to as a group let me know after we rest.  You have your tricks to fend off the creatures.  I will simply not be found by them.  See you after everyone sleeps." Rhain gets up nodding his head towards the group and steps into the darkness disappearing to find a place to rest a safe distance from the fire but close enough to meet them after rest.
Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC "You know you could just hang out here by the fire where it's warm, right?" Invidia asks rhetorically.  "We already have someone that's angry, dark, and broody. And now there's two?" he wonders exasperatedly as he finishes up the ritual. "Well, more food for me."

Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp Date/Time : Day 1 of Operation Prodigal Son , After Rhain's Attack Who : THC "So its decided then. Operation  Prodigal Son is a go. Let’s talk about call-signs" Dysmas said silently jotting down some words on a note. "I'm Olive Cat, Lucian is Silverlite , Invidia is Big Phoebe , Boreas is Sixsmith , Veger is Navy Steel , Rhain is Pink Salt , Buchanon is Mother-Pearl . Cyprus is Wildcat , and uh, am I forgetting someone? Ah yes Beregar is Blue Bee . Oh and Orco is .. Hot-Rod.  " Dysmas arose from the ground and bent over the pot of steaming broth. Was it beetroot? "Gods, this is my one of favorite foods." Whilst he leaned over it and poured some for Invidia, and then some for himself. What Invidia, or really anyone else in the party might not have noticed, was that while he was doing this Dysmas had also slipped that small note into Invidia's sleeve. Snugly enough that he would not notice it, but not enough that he could ignore the irritation whilst eating. Folded in half, written in large bold letters over the cover read the words ‘ DON’T BRING ATTENTION TO THIS ACT NORMAL, OPEN THIS LETTER WHEN OUR NEW FRIEND IS NOT AROUND – DYSMAS’ “ So, Lucian, are your brothers arrogant? Arrogant enough to underestimate their enemies and make simple oversights. Cause if they are we need to really dig into those. You mention Lionel being indulgent right? We could use you as bait. The satisfaction of a good fight might entice him.” [Sleight of Hand (+13): Roll – 30] [Also I will DM you the message Jeff]
Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC "We are not doing that," Invidia flatly replies. "Why do we need a name for the 'operation'? Orcallsigns? We communicate telepathically in battles."
Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME : ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO : THC Dysmas sat back on the ground with a thump. Pointing his spork at Invidia "Except an hour ago when we didn't have telepathy. Having codenames as a back-up will come in handy, its costs us nothing and it can help us when we are in a tight spot. For example when we need to leave the other a secret message." He took a spooned down some of the beetroot broth. "If you don't like Big Phoebe, we can change it y'know. Just dont make it thematic. Then it becomes really obvious who the person is. Great broth by the way."
Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME : ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO : THC "I don't see a situation moving forward where we would need to leave secret messages for each other. How exactly does having a codename help anything?" Invidia asks. "There's really no need to plan for subterfuge 'til that time comes."
Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME : ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO : THC "That’s true. I just miss being subtle about things." Dysmas pulled a loaf of bread that was sitting by the fire and used it to mop up the rest of his beetroot soup. “I should probably also check in on the thieves’ guild when I get the chance. Hopefully it wasn’t them who sold me out back at Sharn.” He sighed, at both a full stomach and a sinking feeling in his gut. Once the Horizon Company’s mission ended he wasn’t sure what he was going to do. He ought to stay with them and make a living as an adventurer, before taking up a cushy job as an underground contact. But there was a rubber-band tied between himself and the Cog. The further he was from it, the stronger the urge to return. But he knew he couldn’t, not until Rafi gave him the signal – a very innocuous advertisement selling cray fish cages out of Moonwatch. But it’s been, what? More than six months since he last saw him. He felt engorged with dread. “Also, when this blows over, I was hoping we could go to Moonwatch, and then take a ship to Sharn. I must check up on my friends there. I haven’t heard from them for six months, and I fear for their lives. Besides, it’d be in the best interest of the company. I need to re-establish my guild connections.” He stood up and began pouring some water from his skin over his pannikin, cleaning it. “In less depressing news, I was wondering if you.” He said looking at Boreas “Could listen to Lucian describe his visions about the dragons. He mentioned that there were four in total I think? And we’ve witnessed two so far.”
Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME : ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO : THC "Moonwatch?" Invidia muses. "Relative to where we'll be in Trolanport, that's on the other side of Sharn, right? Could you use the Orien courier's guild to communicate instead?"
Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME : ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO : THC "Yeah Moonwatch is on the western bank of the hilt, and Sharn on the east. Moonwatch was the rendezvous point after I got the signal to return. " Dysmas pulled his new sword from its simple sheath and began wiping it with a cloth, eyes fixed upon it. "As for House Orien... I don't trust them. Besides, If I were my enemies in the Cog, I'd have a man stationed at my friends place to intercept the message. And if they are in trouble, which they are, they'd have the smarts to go in to hiding. I know they would. So I have no real way to contact them, at least not without exposing them. If I used Orien Couriers and they couldn't find them, the House might resort to private eyes, who'll probably swathed a path right to them." Dysmas picked up his blade and angled it at the fire, admiring how the flames distorted reflection glinted off the blue material. "I might be over-estimating my enemies, but I don't think so. This thing on my back is somehow related to the Draconic Prophecy. Bunch of half-starved goblin gangs or cartel dwarves wouldn't have the initiative to recognize it. There's some larger organisation that's funding the men who are looking for me. Heck, I didn't understand it till we met the Troll Kings brother. Which means that the smartest thing to do is just what my man back home said - lay low and wait for further information. But I cant stand waiting here anymore. If we ever return we're going to have to hire a smuggler, get a forger to make false papers, and i'd have to disguise myself constantly."
Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME : ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO : THC "Okay," Invidia says slowly, "Can you please unpack everything you just said?"

Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME : ???, After Rhain's Attack, Day 1 of Operation Prodigal Son WHO : THC Dysmas sheathed the blade, and laid it down by his side. He realized that he never told Invidia about why he was even here with the company. “You may need to take a seat for this. It’ll take some time but I’ll try and keep it short.” Dysmas stretched his arms, locked them in places behind his back to support himself as he sat on the ground. “Alright so, I’ve been a rounder and box-man – that’s thieves cant for burglar and safecracker – for around five years for the Jotund. Who are the Jotund? It’s an alliance of gangs.” He held up three fingers. “Three to be exact. The Firbolg, AKA the Moytura. The Hill Giants, AKA, the Bergrisar and the Goliaths aka the Six King Clan . I work for the last one, but the guild is led by the Hill giants. One mean motherfucker by the name of Andre. The lady who runs the Six Kings is a goliath lady by the name of Kali. We non-goliaths call her Lady Kali, cause she’s been the only noble soul to give a rats ass about us.” “but that charity doesn’t go so far as to make you worthy of being a member if you’re not a Goliath. Kali has had the unusual but popular move of making non-goliaths members of the gang. As a reward for my diligent five years of service for her, doing missions, giving her a share of the loot as per the guild laws, getting intel. Etcetera, etcetera, I was rewarded with an apprentice-ship. This meant a lot to me – heck it still does. I genuinely believe that Kali wants what’s good for the Cog, and she has no patience for injustice.” He paused for a moment, and awkwardly ran his hands through his hair, almost embarrassed . “Now, if you were me, around say six months ago, the night before your induction as a big shot apprentice to the Lady you figured would take control of the Jotund, you’d be inclined to treat yourself for a drink. And so, I did just as anyone would and had a few, at this real classy (or at least as classy as the Cog permits) place named Hells Lobby . I had a few too many drinks I suppose, and I found my self the next morning in a room on the first floor of the pub, covered in booze. Got up, paid the tab, walked out of the place and went back to my 15x10 foot apartment room. But there was a hitman in black waiting for me. I was able to toss him out the window, but the neighbors were also on my back. I took what I could and hightailed it my friends place.” With a smile he said “His name is Rafi, he’s a fence – the best damn one. One day I’ll tell you guys the story of how I met him. But yeah, I lay low at his place, and we find out that there is a massive bounty on my head. Like in the thousands. With that price on my head we knew it was only a matter of time before they’d start pulling down walls to find me. And by ‘they’ I meant the whole neighborhood. But then while I was there taking a bath, I saw this mark on my back that I never had before. It was massive, and spanned the whole of my back. With this crazy magic stuff and the bounty on my head we knew I had to leave, so he pulls some strings and find this smuggler who just lost his ship. Captain James Kestler – Veger, Lucian, Buchanon and Theltar will remember him. But before I left we agreed on some instructions. I’d join up with an unregistered adventuring company in Trolanport, lie low and wait for his signal. That signal being an advert for Lobster/Cray Fish cages being sold in Torchkeep placed in Trolanport. If I find it, I return to Torchkeep – not Moonwatch, that’s my mistake – rendezvous with his contact, which could be him, produce the bill and get the password from the contact to see if it is him, and confirm with a backup password. After that I’d return to the Cog, and sweep up the mess.” “But!” he raised his index “We found something out while wandering around the Underdark. We met these human brothers who were explorers. One got transformed into a Troll and the other became a Shadow… thing. The Shadow Wizard was the one who identified what the mark on my back was connected to the Draconic Prophecy, and that Lucian was also connected. Infact Lucian is able to read the mark, but he has to do it over several hours.” “So, uh. Any questions?”
Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME : ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO : THC "Well," Invidia replies, picking lint out of his ear, "that definitely explains why people were warning me about the giants when I was in brief contention for mayor of the Cogs." "Good to know, though," he continues. "Also, I've come to realize that I may  have overspent on my knickknacks back in the Sapphire city. I'll need to pull from party funds to memorize and input some spells into my spellbook." He pauses before continuing. "Furthermore, it seems prudent to determine budgets for the different avenues of spending that we will engage in while in the overland. I'd like to start a discussion on what you all think would be a good idea for divvying up our income. I was personally thinking of starting with this basic framework: 60% of all that we make go towards operating expenses for general and administrative purposes, like paying hired adventurers and island staff; 20% go towards capital expenditures, like maintenance of existing buildings and new developments, as well as equipment upkeep; and the other 20% acts as a special fund for investments into art, specialty items, and the general growth of the Horizon Company. That third fund is vague for a reason, but I think we should use it for things such as establishing diplomatic channels with the gnomes of Zil. Or purchase rare artworks from desperate nobles fleeing war. Things like that."
Location : Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME : ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO : THC Veger says to Invidia "Any way we distribute the funds is fine with me, i may need a small amount here or there to stock up on things but most of my gold goes to increasing this" Veger pulls out the Statuette of Baal " the most i put into it the bigger it gets and once i put in enough gold into it something will happen, i have so far put in 3,400 gold into it"
Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC Lucian says, " That plan works for me as well. I honestly only use my gold to buy clothes or to give away to people. I do want to ask if this takes into account personal expenses? Stuff like investing in retirement funds or side businesses. I'm not the type to invest towards my future, but I strongly suggest that everyone should be setting aside some moeny t their post adventuring emdeavors."
Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC "So, you're really going to kill them huh? I know they're scum, your brothers, for all their enslaving and they should be punished. But maybe, if we get the chance we could imprison them for the rest of their lives? Or at least if we can't do that, maybe we should leave the dirty stuff to us." Dysmas glanced into the fire. "Now i'm no man of the law for sure but... there are some laws that govern men that come from the powers of time immemorial, and Kin-slaying is one of them. I... and this may seem strange - I fear for your soul Lucian."
Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC "Oh yes," Invidia says in response to Lucian. "In the presentation of this basic distribution, I am assuming that there will be gold divided amongst adventuring members before considering the budget for the group as a whole. Just like what we did with the sale of the mithral scrap in the Sapphire city."
Location: Underdark, Exit Tunnel, Camp DATE/TIME: ???, After Rhain's Attack WHO: THC Rhain laid on his bedroll, using his arms as pillows behind his head, invisibly in darkness.  Not sleeping yet as he had moved just far enough away from the campfire to be in darkness but still close enough to listen as the others talked amongst themselves.  Interestingly learning things about the others as he did so.  One advantage that came with being one comfortable and skilled and being amongst the darkness.  You also get to easily learn how valuable it is to listen more so than talk in many cases.  Especially when seeking to learn anything.  Dysmas, being the one who cut Rhain despite still being bound, is one that has surprised Rhain as he listened to them talk.  Lucian is something totally different than Rhain was mislead to believe and seems to be an honestly good person that his group cares about.  Rhain felt a small amount of anger burn inside him again that he was almost charmed into killing what seems to be a good person, on what was a suicide mission for Rhain.   Refocusing his thoughts on the conversation going on still.  By a couple of their words it seems as if they are planning for ending the adventuring life.  Interesting.....he wondered about what it must be like to live a short enough life to be able to plan for a safer life already or if a safer life is truly even a possibility in this world.  However the bigger and more prevalent concern on his mind is if this financial planning for retirement so to speak would cause any of them to be more vulnerable to greed or self preservation.  Something to bring up in travels as the betrayal of a member of the group would make his goals more difficult and dangerous than if working alone to accomplish them.  Although Rhain wouldn't admit it to himself let alone anyone else just yet.  A part of him has missed being around people who care for one another as a family should like Rhain's village did; and as such that same part of him hopes that the concerned possible problems won't be a problem. As much as Rhain has been learning and with where his thoughts are he is even more glad that he can trance instead of sleep.  Safer and more informative that way.  As he needs both less rest time and is more aware while resting both.

LOCATION : Trolanport Sewers DATE/TIME : ???, After leaving the Underdark WHO : THC Tick Tack Tick Tack Dysmas was tapping the sides of the sewer walls with Lucians 10ft pole in one hand, while he held his dwarfs head in his left. “So, lets recap Invidia’s plan. When we reach the surface – which is Trolanport - where we purchase an office, and then we uh establish relations with the Trust. Then we sail to Korranberg, and research” he glanced down at the piece of paper attached the dwarfs’ hair and read off of the list “what the dragon gods are/connection the Sovereign Host - Find out how to release the dragon gods to prevent Xoriat from being co-terminous to Eberron - Find out who the black dragon is and how we can help the druidic keepers - Find out how to restore Boreas' dragon form.” “Then we stop by Bloodstone island and see how our people are doing. Then we must find some way to cross the Kraken Bay – which only an act of the Gods could resolve. Then we stop by Taer Valaestras overthrow the Lampurges and have a little bit of wine and rest.” “That sounds about right? Oh and by the way in Korranberg I think I’m going to try and contact the Thieves Guild. So I kinda need one of you to assist me, because I might be kidnapped or it might be Trust sting operation – but you know. We’ll plan as we go along. OH! and Lucian you and I need to find that Lady from the Merchants district who got that urchin killed by the Bridge when we all first met.”

LOCATION : Trolanport DATE/TIME : ???, After leaving the Underdark WHO : THC “Guys! Guys!” Dysmas said over the crowd of little people waving a paper over his head. He ran up to Invidia. “Hey Invidia, check this out!” he said pointing at one of the preview titles on the front page of the Korranberg Chronicles. ‘KRAKEN KILLED: The Sea Route to Xendrik has recently been made more accessible thanks to the cooperation of 5 major guilds/adventuring teams finally killing the Kraken that terrorized the route!’ “Apparently some guy named ‘Stelio Kantos’ bought the Krakens corpse when it got to shore. But! But besides that, it means we can cut the journey time to Cyre in half. Plus, we could stop by wherever Stelio Kantos is and maybe buy some Kraken for Invidia to cook? What do you guys say!?” Dysmas was beaming at the group, but his expression soured as he remembered the article that followed. “Lucian, Veger - you need to take a look at this.” He said pointing at the headline. ‘ UNDEAD REPELLED AT VATHIROND: Talks of an army of the dead invading Breland, though it was promptly smashed the moment it failed to take its first castle. The dead have since retreated back into the Mournlands where adventuring parties are making expeditions into to gather information at the command or the Dragon-marked houses and Mage's guild wishing to find out what happened there.’ Dysmas glanced around for curious ears. “He’s in trouble. After the family visit shall we also drop by and see how he’s doing?” he said tapping the map of the Mournlands on the newspaper.
