I'm currently looking for 3 to 6 people who want to play a one-shot of Maid: The Roleplaying Game on July 20, a Thursday, from 5 pm to 8 pm central time. We will play using Discord for voice and Roll20 as a board and for character sheets. A book can be provided. I will allow a Butler and will also allow someone to play the Master if they want. Special Qualities, Maid Roots, Stress Explosions, and Maid Weapons will all be decided by rolls. We will not be using Item or Costume Tables. All characters will have 3 Special Qualities. About Maid Maid is a game about trying to get the Master to love you the most by the end of a set amount of time. Characters and situations can get crazy and insane. Characters can be anything from nerdy girls to runaway ninjas. Situations can range from stolen laundry to demonic possession. Maid is not a cooperative game. Maid is a game about fucking each other over, or working together and then taking all the credit. A maid who is nice to other maids for the sake of being nice is a maid who loses. The way you make Maid interesting is cause problems. While cleaning the Mistress' bedroom, you stumble across her diary and pocket it for later. While outside gardening, you find a blackberry bush and get preoccupied with eating blackberries and blame the unkempt garden on someone else. How I GM I GM games by allowing players to have a lot of control. I will usually release players into the world and let them explore whatever interests them. In Maid, I often give a list of things that need to be done at certain times, and then let the players interact and cause problems for each other and see if the list of things get done on time.
