Strange circumstances and dark portents surround our band of adventurers as
they delve futher into the lands of Barovia. While laying the late Burgomasters
body to rest, the party was surprised by Alenka, the Vistani from the tavern.
She handed a note to Lucian and told Azalea that they should get their fortunes
told by Madamme Eva, "The greatest of the Vistani."
With Ireena and Ismark in tow, they make their way towards the lands of
Vallaki via a pitstop at the Vistani camp where most joined in the revelry and
were told stories of the past. Our intrepid adventurers then made their way
towards the Madame Eva's tent where they were given their fortunes.
One of those fortunes spoke of a holy symbol at the crossroads they passed
on the way to the camp. As such they returned to the crossroads to do a little
gravedigging, eventually finding the symbol of Lathander, the Morning Lord.
While they were in the process of excavation, the adventurers met a possible
ally named Emil, a traveler who had wandered into the mists and seems to have
resigned himself to keeping the roads clear of wolves.
On their way back to the camp, the party was encircled by ravens, one of
which was shot down. They discovered that these ravens were actually Wereravens
and were enemies of Strahd. Madame Eva reasoned with the Wereraven leader (now
in human form), asking them to forgive the outsiders and through some diplomacy
they agreed to a tenuous alliance.
All signs now point to Vallaki. Will our adventurers be haunted by their
mistakes, or will they see a new dawn in the lands of Barovia. Only time will
tell...
