Hey everyone! I just got the Critical Role campaign guide and am, as predicted, obsessed with the amount of lore and all the potential plot hooks. I thought I'd see if there as a DM who would be interested in putting a campaign together! Obvs, we'd be looking for players eventually too, but I think a lot of that will depend on once the game details are set in stone. I'm not quite ready to put on my DM pants just yet, but I am 100% willing to help with any Roll20 technical things or brainstorming or getting the group together, though I would just be a PC in the game. Some personal preferences as far as game style goes: RP heavy. combat and adventuring is all good, but i also really love the moments that develop the characters we've created. give me conflict, struggles, love, friendship, etc along with the blade swingin' fireballin' hero shtick. being comfortable with the emotions of your character (even if they themselves aren't comfortable with emotions in character) is key for good game play for me. i like building relationships between PCs beyond just 'we adventure together'. i'm obsessed with all things horror, dark, and macabre. that doesn't mean the game has to be 100% creepy or even the main feel, but games that are ok with looking at the dark themes and getting a little creepy now and then are a+ for me. going along with this, mature themes are totally fine with me provided it's not weirdly gratuitous or for no reason. i'm 27 and it's just a weird little preference for me to play with adults. i feel like i am corrupting the youths otherwise. sorry. why did i stop doing proper capitalization halfway through? who knows. i'm in the AKST (1 hour behind PST) timezone and i am generally available on wednesday or saturday evenings (6pm or later pst). it will be DM's call in the end, but I'd love to play around with some of the UA classes, so being open to a bit of flair outside the PHB would be nice! voice only or voice + video are fine. either way. I think that's it for now! Like I said earlier, right now I'm just looking for a DM who would be interested in doing this and later on maybe we'll put up a LFP thing. Not looking to have this start within the next couple of weeks by any means, totally willing to be patient if you are interested but need some time with the campaign guide, since it hasn't been out super long.
