This thread is for keeping track of the party's undivided loot, its value once appraised, and who gets each share of it. Everything is Medium sized unless specified. Both market value and sell value will be listed once an item is appraised, and the sell value if what you actually get for it once sold (which varies by town and shop). Please post here with discussion of how to split up treasure , priority claiming rolls, the names of appraised items you want to claim (the sale value of each will be taken off your share, then your priority will drop to the lowest), and things you think should be kept as party treasure. Anyone who hasn't rolled for priority is assumed to be at the bottom of the list, so if you don't care about claiming items you don't need to roll. Whoever sells the current loot and divides up shares should give the other PCs at least a week of real-time to claim items, then sell items for the listed Sell Values in this post, and finally announces the payouts in-game or in the Loot thread. Also note that the current shares owed are just that: OWED. NOT PAID OUT. Do not list any coins or items from here on your sheets until the final payouts are announced in-game or in the forums. This is the current priority order for claiming items from loot: NPC/Hamanap: 2 Ahmed-Yeth/Drusilia: 0 NPC/Leoavor: 8 Shannon/Kraggan: 15 Ritt/Xankoris: 15 NPC/Verne: 0 Josh/Limar: 18 Josh/Hiskel: 0 This is a full list of party treasure (appraised items in italic, values in brackets, strikethrough for claimed): Coins:  Drowish scimitar, still smeared with angry yellow goo (map note BY-5)
I want to claim Dewen's arrows
Shannon M. said: I want to claim Dewen's arrows  They're Medium sized and Kraggan is small. Keep in mind sizes of the items and your characters when claiming stuff, guys.
oh nevermind
Leoavor wants to claim the light crossbow and bolts, wand sheath, inkpot, and quill, in that order of priority. He also points out that some of the gemstones may be more valuable as spell components, so you guys should probably ask Old Murnig about that before selling them.
Limar should also claim the leather harness and have it resized as well as let lanners know all of it the equipment should be water proofed.
Leo also points out that the rope and potions might be more useful to keep as party treasure, they always come in handy.
I updated the first post, please read the changes. The old "OOC Loot" thread lost focus, so I'm folding its purpose into this one. You guys can discuss splitting up treasure and shares here now.
Added the negative value for the magic ring Limar took as his share last session.

Leo's grateful to have his wand back, and says "I wish I'd had it this last week, but I'm glad you got good use out of it." I've tallied up all the loot here, though you guys need to decide as a party if you're still handling 'party treasure' magic items the same way. You'll also need to get things appraised in the Errands thread, and decide what's being kept as party assets.
Josh said: is leo getting any of the shares from this adventure? he did stay in town the entire time. Leo gracefully steps out of treasure sharing before it becomes an issue. "I wanted to stay here and work, so it would be unfair to ask for a share of your spoils from the quest." Josh said: -i'd also like to put this potion of blur into the thing being sold been in my inventory forever Done. I didn't realize that was still party treasure, lol.
Xank won't be angry if magic bracers get sold, "If this is our way, I'm OK." But please don't forget that without bracers, Xank AC will be 11 and that maybe too low. I don't know normal spell casters AC too BTW.
Ritt K. said: I don't know normal spell casters AC too BTW. It depends on the class. Clerics usually wear heavier armor, while druids often go for light armors made of hides or leather. Sorcerers also wear light armor, but wizards have to rely on spells like mage armor  and shield  to protect themselves.
Again Kraggan reminds Limar she is not keeping the bow personally, it belongs to the group. However you wanted to personally own the ring, and you don't relinquish treasure once you get it, only THEN did it come out of your share.  Party owns it all when we work together to get loot. Then people can claim things. They decide if they are using or want to keep the thing.  Then they pay the party treasury to own the thing.  Also, I think Xankoris should keep using the bracers to make him a bit sturdier. If Xankoris wants to keep them personally he can take their value out of his share, OR he can leave them as party treasure and use them inthe meantime for the good of the party. If he ever leaves the Wayfinders, then he gives them back.
Can we get a list of all the appraised loot for claiming purposes DM?
I think I should leave the bracers as party's treasure, At least when he dies or leaves, anyone can use it.
About the stinger, Xan will study about it, he might make something useful from it too.
Ritt K. said: About the stinger, Xan will study about it, he might make something useful from it too. If you want to see what sort of items you think you can make from it, Craft (weaponsmithing) applies, trained only. If you want to just try to make something particular with it, an untrained check is fine.
11+1 (From guidance), so it's 12, untrained.
Ritt K. said: 11+1 (From guidance), so it's 12, untrained. Okay, what are you trying to make with it? And does that include the -2 penalty for not having proper tools?
A gauntlet, with a stinger on it, so it can pierce through an enemy and add more range (Just maybe, depend on stinger lenght).
Max said:  And does that include the -2 penalty for not having proper tools? That includes the -2 penalty already.
Ritt K. said: A gauntlet, with a stinger on it, so it can pierce through an enemy and add more range (Just maybe, depend on stinger lenght). The stinger itself provides most of the materials you'll need, but the rest will cost 5 silver pieces. In about 2 days' work (on Goodmonth 12th and 13th, while you're still gathering resources for your big alchemy research project), you manage to craft a spiked gauntlet with the giant wasp stinger. Unlike a standard spiked gauntlet, it has only the one large spike (now properly treated so it doesn't smell bad), and has only hardness 3 and 1 hp. However, through some lucky accident that you don't think you could replicate if you tried, the 'spike' seems to have retained some of its natural affinity for delivering poison: when an injury or contact poison is applied to it and delivered with an attack, the poison's Fort DC is increased by +1. As a simple weapon, you're also quite competent in its use.
Shannon M. said: Can we get a list of all the appraised loot for claiming purposes DM? Remember guys, the current list of loot, with appraisal values and claims, is always in the first post of this thread.
Can we keep the poison? I think I have to use it.
What do you think about selling the bracers, Lady's Lace and ring for the money for a bigger boat?
Shall we check for the prices of a larger boat first?  See if these would give us the required amount of funds.
Ahmed Y. said: Shall we check for the prices of a larger boat first?  See if these would give us the required amount of funds.  Kraggan did some price shopping for larger boats in the Errands in Town thread.
Cog: 620 pp, crew of 4, fits 20, well rounded ship Keelboat: 315pp, crew of 3 (sailing), needs 12 rowers however, fits 16 comfortably, shallow flat bottom, but wide
Most of the loot has now been sold, except for a few things: the Gathering cards (Drus, Krag, and Leo voted to keep them, a majority), the ropes (no buyer found), the Mysterious Message scroll (Kraggan is still trying to get an appraisal), and the strange magical bracers Xankoris has been wearing. Xankoris, it seems to be up to you whether the bracers get sold or not. These are the Goodmonth 15th loot payouts, please add your share to your sheet now: Drusilia: 65pp, 47gp, 861sp, 6cp Kraggan: 65pp, 217gp, 861sp, 6cp Xankoris: 17pp, 47gp, 861sp, 6cp, 4 vials of Black Adder Venom (chainlock sold) Leoavor: 15pp, 7gp, 1sp, 4cp Limar: 65pp, 47gp, 861sp, 6cp, Small dagger, malachite, zircon, chrysoprase
Leoavor: "I wouldn't mind a shot at that wine..."
Craft (alchemy) check: 17 To examine the bright green goo. Craft (alchemy) check: 22 To examine the greasy green goo. Craft (alchemy) check: 11  To examine acid in the wooden box.
Ritt K. said: Craft (alchemy) check: 17 To examine the bright green goo. Craft (alchemy) check: 22 To examine the greasy green goo. Craft (alchemy) check: 11  To examine acid in the wooden box. You're fairly sure the green vials are some sort of poison, but beyond that you don't have the expertise to be sure. You'd need Craft (poisonmaking) trained to ID them completely. As for the acid flasks in the box, they seem to be a fairly standard design. Your alchemical experiments and research into existing splash weapons have made you quite  familiar with them.
Can I ask Stumbleduck to examine green vials?
Ritt K. said: Can I ask Stumbleduck to examine green vials? You have a chance to show him on Brewfest 3rd, and he basically confirms what you thought. As before, he recommends visiting the priests of Nerull for more detailed consultation about poisons, since they're illegal to sell in Waterwend.
After asking Stumbleduck, Xantoris go to the church of Nerull to ask then.

Ritt K. said: After asking Stumbleduck, Xantoris go to the church of Nerull to ask then. At the Church of Nerull  in the red-light district, Cade Underbough welcome you in, and asks what he can do for you. After a few minutes, you realize that it's not Cade after all, but his twin brother Wellby, co-high priest of the church. He waves off the misunderstanding, saying "It happens all the time! I've been trying to get Cade to alter our outfits, to make them more distinctive, forever, but he's so stubborn about it..." and goes to find Cade. Shortly, the real Cade joins you, the spitting image of his brother indeed. He examines the vials you have briefly, and tells you "these are greenblood oil," holding out the vials of greasier goo, "rather weak poison, but it affects the constitution of the victim directly. Worth about a hundred gold per dose. These," he says, indicating the brighter green vials, "are Medium spider venom. More potent, and a muscle relaxer instead. About 150 gold per dose. If you're looking to sell, I'll give you 40% of the market value for them."
"I don't think I should sell it yet." "Anyway, Thank you for your help, and I almost finish my first poison-caltrop bomb too. So, I might end with dealing some business in here." Xankoris said before walked out. I'd like to claim both of m edium spider venom and greenblood oil.
Kraggan's thoughts Bag of tricks: sell Keep healing potions, appraise the other Keep favor note Keep spyglass in party treasure, but Limar should carry it as our scout. Remind Limar that the sculpture coupon is part of his share, since it saved him 250 gp.
Okay, the split is all done! You guys can add your new coins and loot to your sheets now, since the selling was finished earlier in the in-game week. I added the party's loot to the handout for it. Xankoris gets: 3 vials of Medium spider venom [150gp each] 3 vials of greenblood oil [100gp each] 100gp, 107sp, 7cp Limar gets: An exotic-looking double-bladed sword with a jeweled (citrine, amyethyst, golden pearl) and silvered scabbards (offered to Bahamut) A letter from a local artist promising one free sculpture of a subject of the bearer's choice (used up) 2 flasks of acid [10gp each, 20gp total] 251gp, 104sp, 11cp Leoavor gets: A case of fine elven wine from Glemmeria [8 bottles, 160gp total] 491gp, 104sp, 11cp Kraggan gets: 582gp, 109sp, 3cp Hamanap gets: 582gp, 109sp, 3cp Drusilia gets: A masterwork heavy shield forged from blue dragonhide [hardness 10, 6 HP, immune to electricity, grants resistance to electricity 20 to bearer, 340gp] 334gp, 110sp, 8cp The Party Treasury gets: Favor Note issued by Ralad Wodheim [100gp] Potion of cure moderate wounds [300gp] Potion of cure light wounds [50gp] An ornate brass spyglass [1200gp] (loaned to Limar) 1164gp, 218sp, 7cp
The loot's been appraised and some claims have been put in, so I'm going to wait a week for anyone to make/change claims, then sell/split things before the next session. If you want something, post here.
The split is all done! You guys can add your new coins and loot to your sheets now. I added the party's loot to the handout for it. Josh said: detect magic on them items so we can seperate them from the rest, read magic on the scrolls. spellcraft , 26,20,17,22,25 for potions an flasks There are magical auras on all 3 potions, the 14 Gathering cards, and the 3 scrolls. Your divination reveals something odd about the cold metal heads of the first set of arrows, but it's not a magical aura... it's almost like the opposite , as if they're disrupting the detection with some sort of antimagical effect. You also identify the 3 scrolls totally, I listed their contents above. You're confident that the first potion contains a cure moderate wounds spell, and that the last contains a magic fang spell, but you aren't sure about the rest. Josh said: -editing a post doesnt make the little new message thing go off, maybe add a new items post after a edit. I hadn't thought about that, good idea for the future. :)
Almost everything is appraised now, so I'll give you guys a week to lay claims or vote for items to be party assets.

Hiskel wants none of it, limar isnt here but would like all the gems under 10gp, and the magic claw potion to use for the party. is Leo or Murnig good enough to make that permenant?

That brings up a qood question: do you guys want to wait for Limar's return to sell the loot, in case he wants anything from it? Kraggan points out "Limar shouldn't get a share since he wasn't involved in the treasure hunt. I think he'd see it the same way. If he wants to buy any of the items we recovered, we can just tell him where we sold them when he returns from the Stonefare." Leoavor comments "I don't know, now that we have the HQ, it's not like we're hurting for money... why not wait a bit longer as a courtesy to him?"
Leoavor suggests, "I think we ought to keep the chests for our vault or general storage, the pearls for identifying magic items, and the healing potion to be carried by one of our frontliners as a backup. Oh, and the Gathering cards too, since we'll have enough to duel with now."
Its fine with me if Limar doesnt get a share, Chaotic Heros dont care for gold.
