[LFDM and 2 Players] - [Forgotten Realms 5e] - Dedicated Players Looking for a DM for Wednesday OR Thursday Nights at 7pm EST

I'm a returning DnD player after a few years break looking to get back into it full swing. My friend of a couple years recently got into it as well, and are looking to start what will be our "home" campaign. We have had a hell of a time finding people on roll20 that take this as seriously as us, or actually know what they are doing and we are hoping to rectify that. As much as we want to jump into a game and start playing right away, we are more concerned with finding the right group of people so we can have a long lasting, and entertaining DnD campaign.      To Potential DM's - We are looking to do something in the forgotten realms setting. Official campaign preferred, but homebrew will be considered under certain conditions. It needs to be fully fleshed out, with maps, creatures, quests, items and all that fun stuff. For example, if someone play a wizard would you have definitive locations for certain spell books, tomes, manuscripts, ect., where the wizard could copy new spells into his spell book? A big draw of the wizard is being able to add new spells he finds to his spell book during his adventures. I know that seems like a minor detail, but minor details can add up quickly. Newer DM's are ok, as long as you have a good grasp on the mechanics. For example, if a bard casts Viscous Mockery on one of you goblins and succeeds, that goblin will have disadvantage on his next attack roll. Will you actually remember to give his disadvantage on his next turn? Basically, please know what you are doing. We will show you the same respect, and will do our absolute best to make it the best DnD experience possible.  To Players - We ask that you create a new backstory for this, or at the very least don't copy and paste one from a different campaign you are in. Have an old backstory or idea you haven't used yet? We are the people to bring it out for. Newer players are welcome, as long as you have a firm grasp on the game mechanics. Me and my buddy are in this for the long haul, and we hope you are too. He will be playing as a Half Orc Barbarian, and I am waiting to see what kind of applications we get before I pick. I prefer magic users, but I will likely end up just being whatever would round out the group the best. If you have more than one character idea, feel free to apply with more than one. Like I said, I will most likely be a filler character, so do whatever sounds most fun for you. Player Application: Name: Trevor Age:29 Experience with DnD: Been playing consistently for 6 months now across multiple campaigns Experience with Roll20: All my current games are on Roll20. Very familiar I made this backstory for a different campaign that was just starting but fell through. Really interested in playing it. Character Name: Cristo Serray Character Class: Bard Character Race: Half Elf  Character Age: 23 Backstory: Cristo was born to a beautiful Elf named Tsarra of the wealthy mercantile family Stilmyst. Korvir Serray, a Human bard that had been hired by the Stilmyst family for years to perform whenever he was in town grew very close with Tsarra and eventually asked for her hand in marriage. They eloped in secret, earning the scorn of her family – however, upon the birth of their son Cristo and seeing that the bard was not going anywhere, the family relented. Cristo traveled the world with his parents – exploring cities and hearing countless tales and songs. His father played at every tavern and noble’s house that would have him, while his mother conducted business on her family’s behalf – securing lucrative contracts. Cristo just followed in his parent’s footsteps, soaking it all in. As Cristo got older, he began booking his own gigs and performances at the smaller more run down locations during their travels. He began accompanying his mother to her business dealing, even offering up contract advice and negotiating tactics. Cristo craved to carve out his own future and legend, deciding it was time to set off on his own. Cristo’s father gifted him his own lute as he was preparing to leave. The old lute was meticulously well taken care of, with beautiful silver etchings of vines and leaves making the lute look more of a work of art than that of a “young, just setting out in the world” traveling bard. It has become his most prized possession not for its worth, but for its sentimental value. Cristo stands just over 6’ tall, with a slender but defined build. His hair sits just under shoulder length, a light golden brown; trademark of the Stilmyst family as well as piercing green eyes. His tan skin comes from his father’s side and his whole young life spent traveling. Cristo dresses in the latest trends of the region he is traveling to, a habit from having parents in professions that require one to show class and dignity.
