Intrest check: Pathfinder - Tomb of Horrors

S1. The Meat Grinder. Gygax’s Revenge. The Tomb of Horrors has a legendary status among gamers for a damn good reason. Perhaps the most challenging Dungeons and Dragons adventure ever published. I will be running this iconic module using pathfinder. No set date or time yet. IT IS EXTREMELY EASY TO DIE IN THIS MODULE. YOU MUST BE PATIENT AND TAKE YOUR TIME. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO A NEW PLAYER. you will be playing level 9 characters. I recommend everyone bring at least two characters, maybe more. Let me know your thoughts
The Tomb of Horrors: Somewhere under a lost and lonely hill of grim and foreboding aspect lies a labyrinthine crypt. It is filled with terrible traps and not a few strange and ferocious monsters to slay the unwary. It is filled with rich treasures both precious and magical, but in addition to the aforementioned guardians, there is said to be a demi-lich who still wards his final haunt (Be warned that tales told have it that this being possesses powers which make him nearly undefeatable). Accounts relate that it is quite unlikely that any adven- turers will ever find the chamber where the demi-lich Acererak lin- gers, for the passages and rooms of the Tomb are fraught with ter- rible traps, poison gases, and magical protections. Furthermore, the demi-lich has so well hidden his lair, that even those who avoid the pitfalls will not be likely to locale their true goal. So only large and well-prepared parties of the bravest and strongest should even con- sider the attempt, and if they do locate the Tomb, they must be pre- pared to fail. Any expedition must be composed of characters of high level and varied class. They must have magical protections and weap- ons, and equip themselves with every sort of device possible to in- sure their survival.

i live for this kind of stuff. Any idea on day, time and frequency? I am an experienced PF player and GM. What are the PC creation guidelines? I am available at 8 pm cst Tues- Sat for about 4 hours per session.
Give me a time and I will roll a level 9 Sorcerer with a Rogue backup. I've only died once in 3 sessions of the Reign of Winter AP, so I'm sure this is nothing.
DONT DO IT! RUN WHILE YOU CAN! it will draw you in and make you think you've got a chance! ITS A LIE!
I'm a pretty experienced player who would be interested, I'm from Europe though and would need GMT friendly times. At what kind of hours were you thinking about playing?
Days & Times are critical. Class ideas: Gulch Gunner, Sorcerer, Fighter, Cleric. I can make'em all if the session times are right.
depending on the day and time, im down =)
I would like to give this game a shot. The privelage of playing a Gygax created scenario will most certainly not be taken lightly from my perspective.
I've been playing/DMing dnd/pathfinder for about 12 years. Somehow, I've never had the pleasure of experiencing this module from either perspective and I think it's probably about time. I can play any role(though I prefer supporty-types like clerics and bards) and I can play anytime after 7pm PST on any day but Monday(and possibly Wednesday). If the game gets set for earlier than that, there is a chance that I can work something out and make it anyway.
I'm sort of interested to see how Tomb would work in Pathfinder, because I've never seen it run in it's reputedly not very good 3.5E version. Not gonna take a spot from anyone as I am a GM who knows Tomb front to back, but curious about how it plays since I run a lot of PF now. However if people are still interested in it after the game fills, I have a D&D 4E version that I did a lot of my own tweaks to for more difficulty and pain. No one's ever finished it yet.
Is this still happening?
Yeah, I just haven't had a chance to get on. The best time for me to run this is going to be either Tue, Wed, or Thur. I would prefer to start around 12pm CST give or take a couple hours. It'll be the 7th before ill be able to run at the earliest. I'll get a a campaign up in the next day or so. Character Creation level 9 25-point buy all official books are legal Standard wealth by level any magic items you can afford. make at least two characters, more if you like
I can do that time/day slot!
