Can't read the ruler zoomed out - when we need it most.

When dealing with distances of 30 to 60 squares (Savage RIFTS), the ruler measurement is too small to read.  The workaround is to have someone else zoomed in to the target, but that soaks up time.  Combat is no longer fast, just furious.

This isn't a bug and there is a suggestion thread on to implement the Ruler to scale on zoom.

As lavathor said, this is currently expected behaviour. However, the Devs stated that they are planning to change this in the near future . Until then, please feel free to lend a vote to this relevant Suggestion .
