what can I usePathfinder sheet attack fields "attack mods" & "dmg mods" for?

Both of these fields begin with grey text saying "#/equation" I have no idea what use these can be put to, the wiki did not explain. So far through noodling about I have only been able to break the roll by adding things in here. Adding a 1 for some reason doubles all dice rolls Adding a ?{Attack Bonus?|0} does nothing Some ideas for acceptable or useful things to put in these fields would be great, Ideally I would like to track attack bonus and AC bonus buffs in the token bar 2 & 3 fields, and have these linked to attack rolls...

Attack mods adds a number to the attack roll for that one specific attack. Add a number there and you should see the @{total-attack} field increase. Damage mods adds a number to the damage roll for that one specific attack If you look at the label for each field there is a superscript (a),(b),(c) etc , at the bottom of the sheet is the legend telling you what they stand for. "#/equation" are (a) which means you have to enter a number or a reference to another field that is a number. For instance: @{level} to add your character level floor(@{level}/2) to add 1/2 your character level rounded down etc You can use min, max, floor, ceil in these fields. But you cannot use queries like ?{} or rolls.  You can use queries and rolls in the "extra non crit dmg" and "extra crit dmg" sections, but not "max, min" (you have to use kl1 and kh1)
thanks! learning macros language has been fun but sometimes it can be a bit obtuse :)
