[LFGM] [SIFRPG] [EST] Serious group of roleplayers looking for a good GM to run a Game of Thrones campaign!

Greetings. As the title mentions, we're a group of pretty serious roleplayers who are searching for someone to serve as the GM for a game of thrones adventure. If this intrigues you but you're unfamiliar with the system, don't fret. The system we're using is SIFRPG, or, a song of ice and fire RPG: game of thrones edition. The pdf for the handbook can be found easily online. We generally like playing at night, a typical game night for us would start around 9 pm EST and end around 12 AM - 1 AM. If this doesn't work for you, we can very easily start earlier by a few hours. Starting any later would be a bit harder, just because most of us have work/college to attend. Our days are pretty flexible, my personal preference would be a Monday night, but we're all willing to work with the potential DM on choosing a day. A bit about us. Although we're all fairly new to the book, each of us have a lot of experience with rpgs and tabletop games as a whole, and we're quickly learning the ins and outs of this book. As well as being experienced, most of us have played a number of RPG'S together and in my opinion, we've formed a robust group of friends that take the games we play seriously enough to warrant a great deal of immersion and respect for the worlds the DM's create for us, but certainly aren't afraid to have fun when the game calls for it, and outside of the game. Which leads me to my next point. I hope in applying for this, you apply not just to narrate a fun, weekly game of SIFRPG, but to also become a friend of ours. Cheesy, I know, but rpg's are a great way to bring people together and we hope that by picking a good GM, we're also picking a potential long time friend that will hopefully have just as much fun as we have, playing this game. Our ages range from 19-25, and we ask that you be at least 18 when applying. Besides that, we'll most likely have no issue with any other age groups. As long as you fit the below criteria. What we're looking for. As I mentioned, we're looking for friend, and a good GM. When I say good GM, I don't necessarily mean a master of the system, but someone who's confident in their ability to create a fun and intriguing adventure in the world of Westeros (this IS game of thrones rpg, after all). We hope that as a GM, you'll respect our intelligence enough as players to throw challenges at us, both in the form of battle and in the political intrigue that any GoT fan knows well enough. You don't have to have experience with the system, we wouldn't ask anything of you that we haven't done yet ourselves. Just, as mentioned, as long as you're confident in your own ability and willing to learn the system and have a bit of fun along the way, you're golden. About the game. If you have no idea what SIFRPG: game of thrones edition is, it's a Role Playing game made by Green Ronin that had a first edition, simply SIFRPG, published before the show came out. Since then, a revised and updated one that encompasses ideas and themes from both the show and the book series has been published. Although in our opinion the book could do a better job with its organization, the system itself does a great job of encapsulating what a GoT rpg should feel like. It has a battle system both for combat and for political intrigue, giving the necessary depth to the politicking the game will likely experience. It has a great character AND house creation system, with each of the players having some input in how the house will be formed. All of the characters must all swear allegiance to one house, making the game extremely cooperative in nature. It often creates very fun "what if?" scenarios as you get to see your characters in your great house go up against the big dogs of the show. The GM can decide to host the campaign at any point in the worlds timeline, but the safest bet would most likely be sometime early in the show. What we want from you. If any of this interests you, (and I sure hope it does!) please don't be afraid to private message me with any questions or concerns you may have regarding the game. With that said and done, please either reply to this thread or message me with an application. Please include your name, age, experience with this game or with RPG's in general, your experience with the GoT series/books, and be sure to sell yourself on why you think you're a good fit. Please don't be a stranger! If we do like you but choose a different GM we may consider adding one of the applicants as a player, just to make the experience even better. We love meeting new people who share in our love for roleplaying games as well as Game of Thrones.
You should check out that guy doing the Shattered Kingdoms ASOIAF games. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPphNxzkut4&list=PLQeAQZ9_KFKRNnqqRV8D_0kIuGEZuHr2l" rel="nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPphNxzkut4&list=PLQeAQZ9_KFKRNnqqRV8D_0kIuGEZuHr2l</a>
Thanks for the video, its pretty useful, we understand the system well enough but none of us are particularly interested in GMing right now, so we are looking for interested people who are interested in the same level of quality of play that we are looking for.
