Problem with selecting whole text in boxes

When I try to select a whole text in some boxes. For example I've already searched for some music and now I want to search for something else but when I select and drag a text in box and try to type sometimes it doesn't work (Selection just disappear and old key-word remain) I am using Google Chrome with 64-bit Win7. I hope it will help!

I just try to click and drag mouse over a text. Sometimes it works and sometimes I first need to click on text and then click&drag to select it.

I had the same problem; I caused it by moving the mouse to the virtual tabletop after highlighting something (but before I let go of the mouse button) in the menu area. I usually highlight from the empty space on the right to the left so this was annoying to me the first couple times it happened.
