Is it possible to import a character sheet for 5e from Hero lab?  or does that only work for the pathfinder character sheet?  any help is appreciated.

As far as I am aware there are no API scripts or sheets for 5e that allow importing from Hero Lab.  It's likely possible as an API script, but to be honest, 5e is much less complicated than Pathfinder, not sure it's really needed in my personal opinion.   I build the character in hero labs, then enter the information manually into the sheet.
