New to tabletop RPs here. I am looking for any sort of group that accepts newbies and is not against teaching a new player the come's and go's of the topic and setting exciting adventures on the way. No setting preference, I am ok with playing in modern, fantasy, medieval, steampunk, gothic, sci-fi, tribal or any sort of setting as long as it is fun. Looking preferably for soft DMs that try not to kill their player's characters every now and then and/or offer enough escapes from said issue. I would not like my learning process to be ruined by my character dying, not even if I can make a new one. 18+ is optional but encouraged since I like my adventures with the full package of having a new RPed life, so I prefer to play with Mature content, specially LGBT chars availability and open-minds. Systems I would like to run in: - Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition: Have just found this treasure and I am kind of in love with it. So this is a total yes. - World of Darkness: I must admit that the strange spice of living in the supernatural dark world is something I hunt a lot. Never played it but I am so wanting. Any of the races/books is fine but I am specially interested in Mages, Vampires and Changelings; and better if on the nWoD rullings. - Pathfinder: Found it very attractive and would love to test my skills on it. If the group provides another system, I would not mind trying as long as I can find information online about that system that lets me decide wether it is nice enough for me to try. Money and resources are extremely cut-off from me, mainly cause I don't have the means to get the money to buy online (hard to explain but belive me when I say it is impossible) and I also have no store around that provides any RPG-related items like in 1000+ kilometers (yes I work on metric), so please try to understand when I say I cannot pay for anything even books. That being said it also means I would appreciate groups that won't mind sharing the info from the books if they are not available for free (most are not I think), but I would try my best to get my hands on a book for me to play. My hours are tied up in the morning, I am in the UTC-4 Time Zone. I could play from 6 and on at nights, far until 12am perhaps. And days could be any. Sundays I am free all day and Saturdays I am free from 12pm. About grammar issues/language barriers: I am not english-native but I do understand it, and would like to play on it. Spanish is my native language so it is also an option. Please bare with me if the RP is text-based. About literacy: I do not have skills on this department. Not a lot at least. But I would love to get tips and advice on how to level my game here. Make better posts on text-based or have better skills on voice-based. I would like a really friendly group, and not hardcore players that wanna kill you because you have a minor mistake or want to play 100% optimal and want everyone to do the same, I am here for the fun and experience for now and maybe make new friends for future roleplays. So I hope that is enough information and that I do get a couple answers at least. See you guys.
