Players couldn't control and move their tokens on the battle map

They were able to edit character sheets but when it came to moving their avatar token on the cyber map they had no control. I as a DM was able to move the tokens for my players but in previous session it wasn't like this where for some reason it was an issue on this weekends session. Thoughts?

Were the tokens placed on the map layer by accident? Are the token's linked to the player's sheets that they control?

Yeah, the tokens were linked to there character sheets. idk: maybe they were dropped on the map layer but even one of my players moved a token over to the map and had no control over it otherwise. Does that even make sense?

That's strange that a player was able to move a token to the map, I assume from the sidebar... I think you can drag/drop character journals you control to the the object and tokens layer. Just to be sure your tokens are linked to the player's sheets; >>> Three of Swords said:( https://app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/3082803/ ) You need to: Place a token for the Character (in the Journal) on the map. Edit the token and Select the Character name (from the Journal). Edit the Character sheet and assign that token as the default for the character. Then when you drag the token to a map, it will keep the Character values and settings, even between pages. >>> If the grid is turned off, the arrow keys won't control the tokens. They would have to use a mouse to grab and drop. IDK ;-(
