I'm highly interested in D&D but have very little actual play experience with the game. I have done text-based multiplayer rpgs for several years, but have only been experimenting with how the D&D 5e system works for a few months. I've practiced filling out character sheets on dicecloud and learning mechanics on Discord with the Avrae plug-in in solo or two-player games. So I have a very basic knowledge of the game, but would probably still need some help and patience. However, I am a very creative person (I'm a professional writer) and I like to think I catch on to things quickly. I've also watched some D&D games just as a spectator. I would love to find a group willing to take on an eager newbie! Edit: I live in the Central Timezone and generally have flexible hours, though my best times for play are between 8AM-2PM or after 8PM during the week, or after 8PM on the weekend. However if I am given enough warning I can move my schedule around to fit any time.
