Question about Streaming Roll20 and Using Fanburst Music

I've got a question for GMs who stream their games on twitch. Have you ever had an issue using music or sound effects from fanburst with your twitch streams? I know that incompetech is royalty free so it shouldn't be an issue, but will the sound in my streams be shut off if I use fanburst? It hasn't happened to me yet, but would like to know if it has happened to anyone else before I attempt to use it.
As long as your twitch streams are for non-profit purposes and as long as you do not monetize off from them you should not have any problem. Note that the extent of monetization includes both charities and videos used to advertise a paid service, under these circumstances, there is a high chance of someone reporting your videos for infringement. If you wish to use Fanbrust music or sound effects from fanburst, you should consult the respective uploaders for negotiations. If you are using a video game or movie sound track that you would otherwise need to purchase then you are in for trouble. Technically you are streaming Roll20 and fanburst and technically it should be their end to sort out any copyright issues. As long as a game is not public you are free to use whatever you feel like but this changes when a game goes live to multiple people. Even if you are lucky to get away with no reports or copyright holders terminating your video you end up causing trouble to Roll20 and fanburst which may lead to a more uncomfortable life for the rest of us who use those services for private games. Tl;DR use only royalty free stuff if you are trying to stream something on twitch.
Thanks for the info, Sharp! I think we will stay clear of it then just to be safe.

Something to think about (if you were not already aware) is that royalties ($ per play) and licensing ($ up front) are not necessarily the same thing. Incompetech's music is royalty free, but there are licensing costs depending on your situation and whether or not you want to provide attribution for his work. http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/licenses/
Ohh I knew I needed to have some kind of credit, but I could not find the exact wording for it. Thank you for this link I really needed it

Thanks for the link and the clarification, Brian C. I deal with this sort of issue daily. If I had one rule of thumb to impart, it would be: If you're not sure you can use it (i.e. the creator* doesn't explicitly grant free use and give you the requirements for doing so), then write to the creator and get rights, or don't use it. *and be sure the person granting the rights is truly the holder of the rights, and not some sort of aggregator. I.e. don't trust a Google image search that is limited to free use images. It's not curated.
Thanks for the input, Keith. I guess it may just be simpler to make the music ourself. Might not be nearly as good but you get what you pay for!

Couldn't find what you wanted on incompetech's site? There is also https://tabletopaudio.com/ which has a similar attribution style $0 license.

Sorry Quest RPGs, I didn't want to make it sound impossible, I just wanted to reinforce the importance of getting permission or verifying the details of the license. If you watch the early episodes of Matt Mercer's Critical Role, much of it is burred out due to a lack of due diligence or understanding of copyright issues. I'd hate to see someone get burned over this. FWIW, many of the Youtube RPG series violate what I feel constitutes reasonable use of artwork and music.
