Now that their return to civilization is in sight, everyone is very motivated to succeed.  Valencia continues to try to develop her new watery powers, encouraging the swamp to help bear them out of its heart as quickly as possible, but their escape is interrupted when a strange vine-and-leaf boat appears on the water, absolutely swarming with melon creatures with murder on their angry little gourd minds.  Full of angst over the death of the alligator and Valencia's very close call, Helena maneuvers the boat like a pro to avoid any boarders from taking hold, while Issy and Djimy leap over to the other boat and begin decimating melons with extreme prejudice. They are successful, but Issy is badly injured, suffering a disfiguring attack to her face that none of the girls are sure they will be able to heal (and since she's a refugee who works two insurance-less part-time jobs, it's not as if she can go to the doctor!).  There isn't much time to do anything about it because an island-sized turtle decides to take them on next, rising up out of the water to attempt to eat the boat; Issy tries to learn enough turtle to explain to it that the boat is metal and not a food and that it should leave them alone, but it doesn't really understand her.  Helena also tries to communicate with the turtle, but when that doesn't go very well, she gives up and just puts the pedal to the metal, eventually escaping with most of the boat intact. Once they finally make it to the open sea, Uncle Cisqo gets them to shore and calls them an Uber, but their trials are not over; before they get off the beach, they are interrupted in their attempts to clean up a little bit by a bizarre creature that looks like a giant crab crossed with a cat, which attempts to eat Valencia when she and Helena get too close to investigate it.  Issy is forced to kill it just to get it off of her before it hurts her too much, and they arrive at their ride with no idea where the creature came from, looking considerably worse for the wear. The drive back toward their apartment is stalled when the car gets stuck in standstill traffic, but since this is a pretty common Miami occurrence and they're all just relieved not to be in the wilderness anymore, the girls make the best of it by playing music, dancing, and accidentally starting a giant block party when many nearby drivers decide to join them.  The police arrive to break it up, but Valencia and Issy are so charming that they don't even get ticketed. Once home, all three girls exhaustedly shower the swamp off together and hunt down clean clothes for themselves and Rafael and Djimy (Uncle Cisqo elected not to accompany them further, since he has some, ahem, tasks to complete on his own).  Since no one has been to work in a few days and they're not sure they even have jobs anymore, let alone any money, Helena puts together a healthy dinner of peanut butter crackers, gherkins, and Monster energy drinks, and after Valencia tries to help Issy by giving her some styling to keep the injury on her face from being so obvious, everyone gets some well-earned rest. The next day, they attempt to contact Aldonza about the success of their mission, but have trouble doing so - ironically, because they finished early, and they aren't expected back for days.  Helena becomes increasingly annoyed when her attempts to get Aldonza's assistant to talk to her keep being rebuffed by increasingly transparent excuses, and suspects she must be with her mysterious magical colossus girlfriend.  Valencia tracks her down through social media and finally gets her attention, setting up a meeting for them to deliver the eggs later that afternoon, and after taking the bus down to the gym, they make a splashy entrance, full of confidence. In the meeting with Aldonza, she is surprised by how efficient the girls were, not only completing their mission early but also finding two additional eggs; Issy is worried about making sure they get paid, while Helena attempts to aggressively negotiate enormous additional fees and benefits for the mission now that they've lived through its dangers.  Aldonza isn't willing to pay thousands and thousands of extra dollars, but Valencia takes over negotiations and convinces her to pay them a bonus for the extra eggs and give them a new, even better-paying mission: seducing a senator at an upcoming charity ball in order to try to get him to influence some upcoming legislation. Helena is antagonistic, because she suspects Aldonza of being up to something, and Issy is worried about the ethics of intentionally seducing a married senator to try to illegally influence policy - but Valencia is in her element, and couldn't be more excited to get paid for this entertaining mission (as she says, she would probably have done this for free, so getting paid for it is the dream!).  They head out, causing a traffic jam of buff ladies due to how distractingly hot they are, ready to do something they have been ready for from day one: buy some fabulous bling and go schmooze with people!
