Homebrew Section

Many players enjoy a good homebrew. I think there should be a section where some of the more popular homebrew rules are available for all to see. Yes, there are various sites that have this, and yes we can justbshare it among ourselves. But it would be nice to have a list of rules, perhaps a few different varients of each, and so a new game could say "we are using A, Bv2, and D rules" without needing to be too vague or too specific about what will be happening in the game. Don't really know how "popular" rules would be accepted without it turning into a free form thing like any other wiki, but I suppose that can be a big thing that is discussed here. ;) And if this is already a thing, then I haven't seen it, and think it should be more prominent.

I'm a little confused as what your anticipate used of this section is. Where would you store the rules, in game in the compendium, or out of game in a discussion? If you are wanting to add items to the compendium, then I suggest you put a vote towards https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/2940484/custom-compendium
i think what Op is asking for is a forum sub section for homebrew talks. which i think is outside the scope for roll20 due to licensing issues that such an undertaking represents. i believe that in spirit that a homebrew area would be nice but i have seen alot of places not roll20 end up skirting the legal issues and what not as a result. personally i wish that there was an easy way for the homebrewer to release their variant rules using roll20 to then submit to the SRD Via OGL application of some sort but again this i think is meant for other avenues. i know that once submitted to the OGL SRD then it would be found within roll20 system.
