Token idea for multiple token

i was thinking of how in many games multiple tokens  of the exact type are used and how it is a bit of an inconvenience to have to rename (typically to number them) roll20 already has the ability to count the total number of things of the same type, how about a feature on a token that will assign a subvalue (numerical/text) to it based on the amount of tokens representing the same character sheet on the current map. example you have a character sheet named Orc you drag or copy paste the token to the field 10 times. all of the tokens show the same thing, they are indistinguishable. however if the above feature was added, it could display an editable counter perhaps it could even be an attribute which could be called such as @{selected|token_team_number} sure multiple tokens could have the same number. this could also be used to simulate 'teams' for games other than rpgs
