The command for setting chat to private (for GM prep) is /talktomyself OR you can use /w gm Anything you type or roll here will be hidden from non-GM's Roll20 Help documentation for exact details: https://help.roll20.net/hc/en-us/articles/360039675093-Text-Chat#TextChat-TalktoMyself(/talktomyself) For maps/pages, anything the GM does on a Page that the golden Player's Ribbon is not on, is private. You can work on maps without a logged-in player seeing it. Just go to a Page that doesn't have the Player's ribbon, or, drag the Player's ribbon to a Landing Page or "waiting room". snuh said: Oh wise one, what is this command?
