Hi folks, I've been running CoNTINUUM for about 3 years now, and I'm feeling the urge to step it up a notch. My regular game is very slow and character based, which we all love. However I'm feeling the urge to strip the game down to nuts and bolts and see how far I can push it. With that in mind I'm house ruling out anything that can be used to solve 4th dimensional problems with the wave of a hand. No hypnotism, no Dreamers or Dreaming, and no Aquarian skills. Just Spanning and Frag. If none of that made sense to you, don't fret. Here's what you need to know- CoNTINUUM is a game about a society of time travelers who police reality and ensure that narcissistic individuals don't alter the future for their own ends. As written it's a deeply complex and very compelling game and I love it. I have tweaked it a fair bit as I've found it is flexible enough to allow me to express my more grandiose concepts.  This time around I'll be tweaking it with the goal of making the game even more challenging. A key component of CoNTINUUM is the fact that it's possible to alter time in subtle ways to attack an enemy by using time itself as a weapon. Combat of this type requires meticulous note taking from the players. It's this requirement that scares off most would-be players. Which is a shame in my opinion. Another aspect of the game setting is that there are some psychic and quasi-psychic powers that can be used to make finding solutions to chronological puzzles and attacks a lot easier. So easy in fact that I'm trying this game (a session or two to start with) without those tools.  It might be a failure, but I'm eager to try it out. Anyway, if anyone wants to try this out with me, I'm hoping to do it at a time to be negotiated over the end-of-year break.
