LFP - Lost Mine of Phandelver 5th Edition D&D

Hi I'm Ben, and I'll be your Dungeon Master. I have a good few years of experience with 5E on both sides of the DM Screen, and recently got my hands on Lost Mine of Phandelver, which intend to run. I'm hoping to get around five players for this game, newbies are absolutely allowed and welcomed. I tend to run an RP strong game, although I love a good combat scenario. If the time scale works for you then please feel free to send an application, I don't want more than a simple character idea although I will be running Session 0 so don't come to me with a premade character and keep your options open to change them. - Thanks Ben - Discord is required - Gametime will be Sunday, 11 AM GMT If interested, feel free to let me know through messages.
Hi Ben, This time works for me and I'm keen to get started. I'm new to tabletop D&D but have some familiarity with the classes/rules from the computer games. I think I'd be happy to play most things but reading through the player handbook and going by the other videogames I play, I normally go for some kind of support role, or something that has some utility - I am thinking something like a Monk, Cleric or Paladin seems up my street, maybe a Bard, but something that's not too complicated for a first timer to get to grips with. Hopefully that's enough for you to go on but please let me know!
Hello! I'd be interested in playing. I mainly use heavy combat rolls so fighter/ranger/barbarian/paladin?
HIGHLY interested, know NOTHING of 5ed, don't even have the books yet, but i WILL get them if accepted. Got experience with D&D, AD&D, D&D 2e, D&D 3e (started with Table Top RPGS when this was released.) D&D 3.5, D&D 4e (i hated this one) Never wanted to try "D&D Next" "I don't want more than a simple character idea although I will be running Session 0 so don't come to me with a premade character" What if i have some pre-premade ones from since i played 3e and used throughout the series? I got about 5-6 of them, never really bothered to count 'em. The only thing that resitracts me is alignment. As much as i try, i can't play lawful. well, maybe only as laweful evil, but that is as close to lawful i get. That does not mean i break the law, just means that i can't even RP to save my life within the aspect of that alignment. Final thing: I tend to steer away from the loner / grumpy mc. grumpington type characters. toooo cheerful for that. Besides, i find those kind of "personality" to be disruptive to games anyways... just my experience.
My name's Alonzo, I'm pretty new to Roll20 but was told to come here to find a game. I've recently started playing Dnd with a group of friends and we're all new to the game. Don't get me wrong we have lots of fun but I would like to play with other people and hopefully learn a few things. I run a dnd play by post server on Discord. I've mostly dmed so I'm not the best at making a Character right off but I'm getting there.
