She's a Cleric. Ying is a heavily-enchanted Broom who’s intended to be a companion of another character of mine. She is designed to be a support character and comic relief. She is playful, curious, likes musical performances, collects hats (tries to), and is WAY too friendly (unable to differentiate peril from play). How she should be played How She Works: Ying cannot talk. Ying cannot attack any target directly and cannot target an enemy with offensive spells of her own accord. She can cast various spells as a Cleric (using souls), but she cannot cast spells that rely only on vocal spellcasting. Special Abilities: Ying must be soulbound to a PC or an NPC. The soulbound PC/NPC gains special cantrips and spells Ying CANNOT ATTACK Ying has 2 ways of damaging enemies: (1) Ying can be equipped as a weapon by her soulbound. The soulbound character gains the ability “Sweep”. Sweep: When equiped by another PC(or NPC) and is used as a weapon; roll a 1D6: (1) Staff (2) Broad Sword (or Long Sword) (3) Javelin (4) Heavy Mace (5) Battle Axe (6) War Hammar This must occur each time Ying is used as a weapon. Ying DOES NOT transform into the weapon, but magically takes on the properties of that weapon (he size, shape, weight does not change). (Soulbound's proficiencies and bonuses apply based on weapon type applied). (2) Ying can cast spells from soulbound's spell list. Equivalent Exchange: Ying can spend a soul from Soft Pouch to cast a spell from the Soulbound controller's spell pool independantly of the Soulbound controller (regardless of spell readiness or Soulbound controller's current state). Souls spent to cast a spell must be equal the spell's level. (Cannot cast spells whose levels are higher than Ying's lowest class level). How this is done is covered in the character sheet.
