Urd asked him about his travels, and he said he’d been fighting with the orcs to the southeast (closer to Goblinsett) for the last several months as a scout and mercenary. While everyone else prepared for the journey, Kurz Sahiva ventured into the depths of Green Beauty’s Slumber to find the path down. He returned saying he’d followed stairs going straight down vertically for an our before coming back up them. The next morning, he was up early brewing some noxious liquid that passes off as orcish “coffee”. Urd enjoyed the taste and traded recipes with him. The group traveled down for a total of 3 hours, at full pace for the first hour then at half pace the next two hours, traveling [meta, it wouldn’t be straight down it’d actually be at a 45 degree angle so you traveled 4 miles down, not 8. Still, it’s deep.] On the way Ron spotted a series of stashes in the walls, used by goblins to apparently store food and weapons. At the bottom was a circular room with a lit brazier and two doors, a smaller one to the right and a larger one in front of them. The archway around the door was engraved with some sort of script, written in a language predating dwarvish and different than primordial. Ron cast tongues on himself while Rurrick attempted to read the words with Ailekk’s help, and translated it to “Here lays worm cretan dark born star world mushroom pants.” [Meta: Give an inspiration to Ron] Urd opened the door, with a long corridor ahead of them. There was a fight with gray and dark goblins, with Rurrick using firewall to scorch many of them. Then a bone demon fled down the east hallway. The party was then attacked on both sides by dark and gray goblins, as well as some regular goblins. Urd was ganged up by dark and gray goblins in darkness but took it like a champ. Lindal used healing word multiple times to heal party members (4 x level 1 slots) and also used a heroism spell on Ron and Urd (1 x level 2 slot). They party can now move south or east to continue exploring.
