I would never discourage you but be prepared … it's advanced stuff! Having said that, GURPS is the best RPG ever made, for all time, ever. Period. Steve Jackson (GURPS inventor) is an absolute genius. I would sell body parts for a chance to work with / for Steve Jackson. I know this statement will cause some debate but they are wrong. GURPS will never be topped. FYI … GURPS stands for Generic Universal Role Playing System. Fun fact! My qualifications for making this declaration … I own over 50 different pencil and paper RPGs with over 30 different systems. I own an original D&D Basic set in the box from the late 1970s. I have so many, many years experience that I am a little embarrassed to say the exact number. I have original Gamma World (TSR) and original Top Secret (TSR) in their original boxes. I have almost everything Chaosium has ever made. Remember Stormbringer? GURPS is the best, by far. TL;DR I like GURPS!
