[Blades in the Dark] Iruvia Question

I'm going to be running Blades in the Dark using the Iruvian playbooks created by Johnstone Metzger. I love the wonderful Roll20 character sheets folks have created for BitD. https://redboxvancouver.files.wordpress.com/2018/02/alt_iruvian_playbooks_20171121.pdf Could someone give me a sense of how hard it would be for a relative novice to adapt the code for the current sheet to these new playbooks? They don't change the basic game structures but use a different data set. What might that involve?

You would have to change the data object in the sheetworkers and the translation file, as well as small changes to the HTML. It's not so hard, but perhaps a bit of tedious data entry. It probably won't save any time vs just entering the info in game, unless you plan to reuse it.

Okay, let me a bit more verbose now that I'm at a computer. You will have to modify this HTML file . In particular, line 47-53 for the options in the settings menu, and lines 2378-3390 for playbooks and factions. You will also have to make changes in the translation.json to match your changes to the data in the sheet workers — every line of text on the sheet is translated via the translation.json. That means adding translation keys for the Iruvia factions (which I presume you're going to use), and for friends, items, and special abilities for the Iruvian playbooks, as well as for all the other text bits a playbook gets - you can take the existing playbooks as a blueprint. Use this CSS file with it (no changes should be necessary here).
Thank you! That's incredibly helpful and points me in a direction. Much appreciated.
Wow. It looks like at least some of the Iruvian material's in the JSON file now.

I was motivated by your question to start adding them to the main sheet... I'm not done yet, though.
Awesome! Is there a way we can tip you for all the work you've done on these sheets?

Lowell F. said: Awesome! Is there a way we can tip you for all the work you've done on these sheets? Well, if you're asking (thanks!), I am paying for a Roll20 subscription, partially for character sheet stuff, so you could gift me some subscription time if you want to.
Done!
