Name: Jean-Francois I'm looking for a Star Wars Fantasy Flight Game that allows the use of the Edge of the Empire rulebook. PM me for invites!
Experience: I’ve been playing
tabletop RPGs for the last 15 years. Most of my experience is from D&D 3.0,
3.5 and 5th Edition but I have some experience playing Edge of the Empire where
I had a blast playing a mandalorian mechanic and have fond memories of
customizing a ship with my old crew. Alas the game ended, and I’ve been begging
for another Star Wars FFG game. I’ve played a little bit with Roll20 but I
can’t say I’m experienced with it. I am in Eastern time and am available any
evening after 19h.
I’m a very punctual
person and a very loyal player. I’m easy to get along with and my playstyle
involved both Role Playing/Character Development as well as delving
statistically into combats. I believe that a good game has a good balance
between both. I put a lot of effort into the games I play in.
While I’d love the
opportunity to play a similar character as the previous one, I am easily
capable of adapting to a class that the team would require me to fill. I have
some knowledge of Star Wars (greater depth than the movies but not a God of
Star Wars) and am looking for opportunities to expand on it. But, the character
I’m interested in playing is the following:
Character Name: Atin “Roach” Fett
Background: Roach
earned his derogatory name as a slave for the hutts. His rebellious attitude
earned him more than a few bruises and scars but the only reason they kept him
alive at all was his abilities as a skilled mechanic. You could say his brain
was wired to want to understand how everything works together in the grand
scheme of things. His time as a slave enabled him to get some experience
working on a wide variety of jobs including ships, weapons, and droid repairs.
One day, he was sold to a new master who owned him no more than a week. Bounty
hunters had taken an interest in his master who owed a large sum to a crime
syndicate.
His security detail
proved difficult to deal with and eventually, Roach’s owner found himself alone
trying to survive with bounty hunters looking for him on his ship. Roach was
given a weapon and promised his freedom should he save his master’s life, an
intriguing proposition indeed! All he had to do was deal with the last two
remaining mercs. He managed to wrestle one unconscious which took all his
strength. As he stood up, the other merc stood there watching, with his master
at gun point. The merc told him the offer still stood for his freedom, if he
could only seize it with his own two hands, in true Mandalorian fashion. His
master was given a vibro blade and so was he. He never hesitated, and the deed
was over with in no time. He was offered a new life within a brotherhood where
strength is praised and rewarded, and cowardice is punished. Since then, he has
dedicated himself to learning the ways of the mandalore, even if they are not
as they once were. With his chains broken and his brotherhood, he looks to the
stars to begin his new life and make a name for himself.
