The first game is of course free of charge so that we can feel the compatability between eachother and the group The two main groups have finished their campaigns, but are 4 in the group, thusly I am seeking one player for a Saturday game at 3 PM CET (Central European Time) or 9 AM EST and one for a Sunday game at 6 pm CET (Central European Time) or at noon EST Greetings into the hub of "Tales of TPK" with me, Tim, as your guide. So who the fuck am i and why the fuck do i believe that my games are worth paying for? The name is Tim, i'm a 25 year old Teacher/University student. I am someone who started playing TTRPGs quite late in my life and had to "make up" by playing a lot on a short time. I have a total of closer to 4000 hours at this point, wheras 80 or so percent of this is as a DM, accumulated over the past years. I have been playing DnD 5e for the most times, with a couple of other TTRPGs in between there. The last year i have become what people are calling a proffessional DM where people pay for my services. The service that i have provided over the last year is one of my own written campaigns, the group that is currently furthest in the campaign are 9 months in. I wish to extend my games, bringing in more people and creating more groups where there is possible to do so. But the question still stands, why the fuck would you pay for something that you could do for free? What i myself offer you is quality, effort and a vast pool of experience. I am someone who can bring immersion, intensivity and teeth gritting, hair raising moments for you and your character. I offer an entire world that can act as a sandbox, or with streamlined quest arcs for you to experience. I will put down hours and hours before the game to make sure your character is as fleshed out as you want it. My own world offers realism and would be considered harsher than regular games. This means that it is a light homebrew version of 5e where older edition rules may find themselves into the game. On top of my own capabilities as a DM offer you, a paid game attracts a certain kind of people too. These people are often more keen and willing to roleplay and immerse themselves into the world and give stronger stability than a free game where people have nothing to lose if they leave. Thusly, with the quality, effort and experience that i offer my players i consider that it is worth the money. I have set the price to an amount that i myself would consider a fair price to pay. What do you pay for then? * An experienced DM who knows how to create an immersive, gritty, realistic and epic adventure * A fleshed out homebrew world, and with your help there will be an even more thicker feeling to the world * A chance to add your own ideas into an already existing world * One or several "quest archs" with your character in the driving seat * Someone who is enthusiastic about DnD to the point of where he will spend loads of time on a campaign to make it as perfect as possible for his players * A campaign filled with lore, plottwists, NPCs with their own drives and goals * A biological world that you can effect with your interactions * A co-operative sandbox world with as many choices to it as you can think of, though with enough structure for you to enjoy the quests within, just that you chose what quests you want to take part of * Customized/homebrewed magical items * A new pantheon that coexists with the old (forgotten realms) one. * Dynamic lightning on all the battle maps * Old school dungeon crawling with puzzles and riddles (and of course monster slaying) Campaigns The games are set to start THIS WEEK, one starting on Saturday at 3 PM CET (Central European Time) or 9 AM EST, the other one starts Sunday at 6 pm CET (Central European Time) or at noon EST. The games will be run in my world, Gael, and will be primarily a sandbox game where the players find the quests they wish to pursue themselves. There are a million and one things to do and find in my games, so there will never be a shortage. RP will be promoted before battles, but of course there will be battles too. Here is an intro to the first session; https://vocaroo.com/i/s1RzYSGm8xYI If you are a group that's already established i will be more than welcome to come up with another story that you want to have. I am very flexible with my DMing. My Games I do run homebrew games where certain rules has been changed to make for a more realistic, dark and gritty game. There are no major changes, and i will walk you through all of the changes once we get into the game. Important to know is that i run my games through realism as the main rule. If things make sense, then it will work. Of course we are in a universe with magic and different natural laws than our own, but realism can still exist. Another big part is the story telling aspect. As we are playing a roleplaying game, i want to enhance that part of our experience. Thusly you will always be forced to tell me how your character wants to do things, describe them as vividly as you possibly can. If you were ever to tell me "I want to persuade this character" and then proceed to roll me a persuasion, i will simply laugh and shake my head. That is not how things are done in my games, here you are forced to actually tell me your arguments and have a real discussion with the NPC/PC that you wish to persuade. This goes for all the skills, the more you can describe the less you will have to roll dice. Since my world has been slowly developing over the past few years, you have an entire sandbox at your disposal. There will always be guidlines and quests along the way but you will also always be able to go out and search for what you / the party feels like doing at the moment. You; * The amount of experience does not matter. If you are inexperienced i will help and guide you so that you will be experienced enough before my game starts. * Polite * Punctual * Has access to a mic AND a camera * Mature * Talkative (With this i mean able to speak up when your character should/Wants) * Must like to write/talk about a character, to flesh the character out both before and during the game with me the DM primarily but also to engage the other players in your own character through speaking as them. The application Now, if you have stayed with me till the bottom i would love for you to write me an application. The application should be written here in the post and then i will contact you! What i want to be contained in the application; * Your name and age * Your experience (if you have any) with TTRPG games, and what your favourite system is * If you have experience with roleplaying from other sources, such as forum RPing or larping or even games. * Tell me why you are interested about this game in particular, and not another one * Tell me about why you like, or think you would like, to play TTRPG games * Write the numbers of what times you would be avaliable on * Write the letter for the campaigns you would like to attend, if multiple write them in descending order I do not wish for you to give me a character pitch in your application, simply because you do not know the world nor do you have any lore to base your character on. You will be granted a lot of lore so that you can start making your character the moment you are accepted to the next stage of the draft! I will help you along the way as much as i am allowed to because i love create indepth characters. You can also apply to the listing instead and you will find all the information there too; Saturday = https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/107342/the-world-of-gael Sunday = https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/107235/the-worl... Thank you, a lot, for reading to this point! If you, just as i, want to have an epic story to tell in the future then i hope to see you in the campaign!
