Hey all,
Short Version: I’m a DM looking for 3-5 players interested
in playing Pathfinder on Wednesday nights (I’m available 6-10pm Pacific) with an
emphasis on story.
Long Version: I’m a longtime DM for my main group, and they’re
currently in the middle of Kingmaker but I’m looking to run a game on the side
to explore other avenues. I really want to pursue games with a character-driven
narrative focus so I can improve on that aspect of my DMing. To that end I’d
like to get a weekly Wednesday night game going. We’d probably try a shorter
campaign (~2 months) to start with but we can always keep going if it’s a good
fit and we’re all having fun.
I usually run Pathfinder with minor homebrew modifications
(mainly in the interest of streamlining play). Previous experience with
RPGs/Pathfinder is not a must, but willingness to engage with and participate
in a narrative experience is. Ideally I would run this for a group of players
who know and/or have played with each other before (I find familiarity helps
things along nicely) but I suppose that all depends on the turnout. 4 would be
an ideal number of players, but I will go to 3 or 5 depending on the situation,
but not past those limits. I would prefer to run this via voice chat over Discord
with Roll20 as the shared interface, but exceptions can always be made.
I don’t have an existing narrative in mind. That would be
something we set up together based on the kind of campaign we’re all interested
in and what your characters are like. Again, my interest is not in running the
most challenging combat encounter (although I by no means eschew combat) but
rather in collaboratively telling a cool, interesting and engaging story.
Let me know about your availability/interest and we’ll see if
we can make a connection. Thanks for reading!
