[LFG][EST-Weeknights][D&D5e] Adventurer application inside, will fill all roles, will fumble all rolls, and more!

Hi Everyone, Experienced D&D player looking for a weekly (or every other week) group. I have a lot of experience DMing as well, but don't have the time to DM these days. My preferred times would be from 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM EDT Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday evening. The latest I could stay up would be 10PM. Short version: I'm looking for something like the style, combat vs RP balance, and pacing of Acquisitions Inc: The "C" Team, if you've watched that. I'm only looking to play 5th edition at this time. I'm happy with 'theatre of the mind' style, token style, and anything in between. Long Version: I show up on time, prepared. I know the rules, especially the ones pertaining to my character, and especially rule 0. I know how much time and energy goes into DMing a game, so I'm looking to add my piece of story to your campaign. I'm happy to join an in-progress campaign, or join at the start of a new campaign. I usually enjoy playing spell casting classes, or classes with some complexity. I'm capable of playing a min-maxed character, but I would rather not do that. I'd rather follow the storytelling and choose spells that may be less combat effective, but would be a better fit thematically. I enjoy helping to fill a gap in the team, both in team-composition, as well as demeanor. Need someone to kick open doors because your group takes too long deliberating at every turn? I'm your half-orc. Need someone to keep the party from rushing headlong into danger at every murder-hobo opportunity? I'm your cleric. Need someone that breaks the mold and kicks the group out of the rut it is stuck in? I'm your half-orc cleric! You can check out a campaign I DM'd on my twitch channel (Roll20) a long time ago if you want. I've become much less combat focused since then :) https://www.twitch.tv/littleraptor/videos/all

This Character Creation Workshop can help you learn how to use Roll20, build a character from the backstory first, find a group, and play a challenging game of D&D 5e. Join us.
Thanks, I'm familiar with Roll20, as I've run games on it in the past.
Bump!

I have a spot Saturday 3 pm pacific time and if you're interested and want details send me a private message.
Sorry friend, but I can't dedicate Saturday reliably, and I wouldn't want to be an unreliable player :(
All good :)
Hey there Raptor. I'm a pretty experienced DM who could very easily set up a campaign for you and some others to play on those days. I currently run another campaign but its times are very loose, often happening late into the night on weekends but never really set in stone the day. I also play a campaign on Thursdays, and I gotta tell ya that I wouldn't mind scratching the itch and filling more of my week with DnD. I tend to prioritize fun and choice over pushed questing (ie the characters decide where to go and not the story forces them to go where the overall plot would develop more). It's kind of hard for me to keep multiple worlds in my mind at once so I would likely set whatever campaign it was in the current reality that my other campaign is set in (one that has many similarities to standard 5e but pretty much infinite possibilities since I play with multiverse theory when it comes to my Material Plane). It would probably turn into a story that happens before the current plot that's going on in my other campaign but would save me a lot of headache in learning or designing a whole new world. If that's okay with you then awesome. I love to DM and if you're looking for a reliable guy for those timeframes I can do that since the time difference between you and I makes that late in the afternoon for me. I try to balance the sessions so that it feels like a story being told and not just a party roaming from place to place killing things and getting loot. Additionally I often employ homebrew content and am open to others in the group doing so as well; I don't know your opinions on that but if you would prefer to stick simply to the RAW I'm willing to do that as well. Lemme know if that appeals to you and we can have a more detailed discussion from there.
Hey Flevir, That sounds fantastic to me! Do you have any other players in mind? Otherwise I've messaged someone from here that may have some interested players. What time zone are you in? Just making sure you know I'm talking about ~7:00 PM EDT :) I'll PM you a discord link if you want to chat more and get something going. Sounds like our styles could be a good fit!
I could definitely interest some players in playing but I dont have anyone in particular in mind. And I'm in the... Well, the easiest way to say it is I'm in the Arizonan time zone. We dont do DST so our time in relation to the rest of the country changes depending on the time of year. Right now you're 3 hours ahead of me and later in the year you'll be 2. And yeah, feel free to send me a Discord link, that's what I prefer to use for DnD.
