Imported assets being set to arbitrary size

I'm importing map-tiles, which I've set to be 70ppi and are 700x700 pixels. When I import them, I expect them to be 10 units, as 1 unit = 70ppi, however they're all being set to 3 units, and I have to manually set the size for each one, every time I add a new tile. The page scale is set to 1. Is there some other setting I'm missing?

Nope, you're not missing anything; uploaded tiles on the Map Layer usually default to 3x3 squares in size. A number of artists on the Marketplace include dimensions in their filenames. If you are uploading original content, or content that does not include this information, you can spend some time renaming the files to do so before you upload them. Once you have the tile resized on the tabletop the way you want, you can copy and paste that one and it should retain the size while you do so. Next time you drag it from your library though, you will need to size it again.
Ugh. What a pain... I have had large maps that occasionally will import to the correct dimensions, but not always... Is there something going on there?

I usually only see the 3x3 behavior when I drag  to the token layer. Most large maps seem to come in... large.
I see now you are talking about dragging from the desktop; I had assumed dragging from the Art Library. It does look like dragging from desktop to Map Layer preserves the original dimensions. Sorry for the confusion.
Hmmm. I'll have to experiment with that and see where the bounds of the default behavior are...
