The point of dice result are to be random, could you be more precise with what you mean? The dierolls on Roll20 are fair and cannot be tampered with, but you probably didn't mean that. Are refering to choose a die from a pol of thrown dice, like "pick highest value of 4d10 thrown"? That kan be achived with "4d10k1". Look here for more info on how to modify your rolls: https://wiki.roll20.net/Dice_Reference
I want to choose the result of the die. Is it possible?

The only way to choose the result of a die roll that I know of is to create a rollable table with graphics of the dice you are wanting to use then choose which side you want by right clicking on the image on the table. I'm sure there are ways to simulate the dice result in the chat but then it would not be rolling dice but just picking a number. Why would you need this effect? If we know the reason behind the question there might be a work around that could be used.
You might simulate it for players by using a die as a multisided token. Roll the die you want and drag the graphic from the chat onto the tabletop. Right click on it to get the menu and choose "multi-sided." Click on "choose side" and choose the value you want. It's not the same as rolling, but players won't necessarily know that you are choosing the side.
From what we can guess what you mean, no that's impossible to roll a die and choose the result - like in the real world. The whole system is setup to make fair die rolls. If you just want to return a specific number (for a macro or something) you can always just use that specific number: `/roll 10` will always return the number 10 but of course this will not marked as a roll because it isn't. If you could describe in more detail what you're trying to accomplish we might be able to suggest a way of going forward. If you just want to fudge the dice roll, you can't.
