After searching through the burned down village of Argrut Valros, the party made their way south, following the river which soon became nothing more than a path through the swamp. Approaching the village of Othokent Kothar, Baeshra, Gillia, and Thokoli went to go check it out, seeing a large dam with lizardfolk on and about it. Off to the south was a 75 foot cliff. They went back to the party who began discussing battle tactics. Some of the party noticed a large looming creature on the top of the south cliff, lurking about. They continued discussing their strategy. The creature lept off the cliff flying over the party who began casting prep spells, chugging acid resistance potions, etc. Alaise, Bardman, Helios, and Asher all chugged potions, Baeshra used the skull of his elder to bless many of them. Gillia cast a fog cloud on the creature, and it emerged to attack Bardman saying “Die healer!” in draconic. It roared, frightening Helios, Gillia, Asher, and Thokoli. As the party began trying to damage the creature as it tore into Bardman, using legendary actions to attack him as well until he was almost out of health. As Alaise approached to help, Bardman polymorphed into a giant ape. With some smites from Elaise, crossbow damage from Asher, and a fireball from Helios, the creature named Ammeirog began getting quite hurt. Off to the north lizardfolk began to make their way onto the battlefield. After releasing a blast of acid, the creature began retreating. The party continued the assault, now no longer frightened, while the giant ape Bardman threw Alaise at the dragon. He missed, but Alaise misty stepped onto the dragon’s back, stabbing it then stumbling off only to be caught by the Bardman ape. The dragon escaped, with Helios pursuing and Baeshra taking to the air. As the party began scaling the southern cliff in pursuit of the dragon, a mist began spilling up from the area. Meanwhile Baeshra summoned a swamp storm which caused a retreat of the lizardfolk to the north. Baeshra then used his druidic powers to slam the dam with waves, flood it, and then summon a whirlpool on it. In seconds the dam was destroyed while the party climbed the cliffs to the north, making their way after the dragon. On the cliff to the north they could see a large mountain lake, and followed the dragon into his underwater lair. Bardman transformed Gillia into a giant crocodile, and they all went after the dragon. It was stealthed waiting for them, and when they got into position it lept out, now healed some, and unleashed acid on Alaise, Asher, and Thokoli. Alaise and Asher went after it, beating the creature down quickly. Two lizardfolk shaman were on land assisting, and Alaise was taken down and as the dragon fled it beat him to death with its tail attacks. The crocodile Gillia and the rest took down the dragon then went after the lizardfolk shaman, killing them quickly. The party found the dragon’s hoard, including its stash: 11000 gp, 2200 pp, Carved Ivory Drinking Horn inlaid with Silver (250 gp), Small Tapestry (250 gp), Wood Framed Painting (250 gp), Copper Cloth Coat (250 gp), Carved Wooden Staff studded with Silver (250 gp), Silver Chain set with Chrysoprase (250 gp), Silver Shortsword Scabbard (250 gp), Luck Blade with 0 Wishes(shortsword) (legendary, dmg 179) In addition to its hoard, the party found several clutches of lizardfolk eggs, including those from Baeshra’s tribe. The party leveled up, and during their rest a couple of groups of lizardfolk attacked, first a group of 5 and then a group of 6. The next day Baeshra reincarnated Alaise, who took a new form.
