Saturday Night: Roll20 Server issues perhaps?

Hello everyone, apologies in advance if this has been discussed prior; My group plays on Saturday evenings, 7 PM - 10 PM PST.  We've had increasingly severe issues with server-side lag since last August, culminating last night when the Roll20 game simply ejected half the players at random for about a 30 minute period around 8:30 - 9:00 PM.  I didn't disconnect myself, but as players did it caused major lag and stuttering for those remaining. :( We use Skype for Audio, no video, and our browser connections to other sites were normal at this time. (Players could connect to other websites, just not Roll20.) May I presume this is due to server load?  Nothing else has changed for us since inception, and if anything I've reduced resources used in game regading map size, lighting, API scripts, etc.  Any and all suggestions welcome.
I had to give up working on my campaign from all the disconnect warnings I kept recieving. Server Status showed no issues, at that point.
Agreed, but the old school connection quality test of "Do any other websites currently have connectivity issues?" betrayed the Roll20 site as the culprit.
