The default roll template has its uses and being universally accessible by everyone on every campaign regardless of character sheets is very handy.But it has no real functionality outside of dressing up some inline rolls. Adding functionality for if/then or even just critical options would be a godsend. Now everyone is going to say that a lot of the other character sheets have functionality like this, but here's the thing. A lot of people play one-shots. In my case, I play a Westmarches setting with a hand full of dm's and have a fist full of campaigns in my lists. Almost none of them have character sheets turned on because most of the campaigns are one use fire and forget for a quest. Being able to have my macros on a notepad and implement them using the default template anywhere would be amazing.
